Not too long ago, Epic Games and People Can Fly released a guided missile trailer for Fortnite in order to show players exactly how the new weapon works within the popular multiplayer sandbox survival title's free-to-play Battle Royale portion. With the freshly added armament live in the game now, fans are doing their best to test its strengths and limitations, with one video shared today confirming that fans can indeed ride the guided missile's rocket after it has been fired.

As seen in the video clip below, Fortnite fans can take a rocket ride for practically the entire duration of the guided missile's deployment should they please, with the Twitter user known as "Dyceyy" having set up a Duos partner to hop on board the explosive shortly after firing the weapon. Perhaps the best part of the clip, though, involves Dyceyy seemingly losing control of the guided missile after an opponent shoots his buddy from afar, causing Dyceyy to improvise a new trajectory that sends his teammate crashing into the side of a hill.

Without a doubt, now that it has been confirmed that Fortnite players can ride the guided missile's rocket, many Duos and Squads strategies will begin to revolve around launching a team member into enemy territory. For instance, the tactic can either be used as a diversion or it could be utilized for the rocket rider to find a unsuspected entry point in an opponent's structure to wreak mayhem with some up close and personal firearms such as the heavy shotgun.

All things considered, while mounting the guided missile rocket will surely be attempted by most, if not all Fortnite players, it's safe to say that few will likely be able to skillfully incorporate it as a winning strategy. Of course, should one possess the abilities as the fan who pulled off this masterful rocket-riding sniper shot kill, then the other contenders for a Victory Royale are in for a world of hurt.

Fortnite is available now in early access for iOS devices, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
