As of late, Fortnite has added quite a bunch of new content to its free-to-play Battle Royale portion during Season 6, with the multiplayer sandbox survival title having gotten such additions as the Disco Domination LTM and the Quad Launcher. Now, however, the game's armory will be one weapon short for the time being, as Epic Games has announced its decision to temporarily disable the Guided Missile.

As seen in the tweet below from the official Fortnite Twitter account, players won't be able to use the Guided Missile starting today, as Epic Games needs to "investigate an issue" related to the item that is likely causing problems in the game. That said, though, the studio didn't offer an idea as to what kind of issue could be occurring with the weapon, or when fans should expect to see it added back into the title once again.

For those unaware, this isn't the first instance of Epic Games having to temporarily disable an item in Fortnite Battle Royale after the game's Season 6 update was implemented. As a matter of fact, the studio had to take Shadow Stones out shortly after introducing them due to an undisclosed issue. Although it took about a week to rectify the problem, Shadow Stones were finally added back for players to use just several days ago.

All things considered, those who rely on Guided Missiles to get their Victory Royales will likely be disappointed to learn of Epic Games disabling the item for a short while, but it's not as if Fortnite doesn't have a wide range of other weapons for one to master. Sure, some fan-favorites were Vaulted not too long ago, but there's always a chance for them to be cycled back into the title in a revised form at some point down the line.

Fortnite is available now in early access for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
