The High Stakes event is coming to Fortnite and bringing with it a slew of new features, such as the Getaway LTM, the Wildcard outfit, and its own set of challenges. A newly revealed addition, as part of this event, is the new Grappling Hook item, which will help players escape a bad situation or close the distance on an enemy.

The grappling hook is described as an item that allows players to "soar around the map in style. A new mobility Item with the Epic Rarity makes its way into the Fortnite Battle Royale Universe." The versatility of the Grappler, combined with the Rift-To-Go, showcases the emphasis placed on mobility nearing the end of this season. Check it out in action below:

Spider-Man jokes aside, some eagled-eyed Fortnite players have noted two important changes to Tilted in this preview of the grappling hook. First, there appears to be a new mascot in the shape of a bass, and secondly, it appears that the tower that's been under construction is complete. It's likely these changes will be added with the next update, which begs the question of what else will change?

These changes to Tilted Towers may invalidate the mystery cube theory that said it was coming for the high-intensity area, but many are also speculating other areas of destruction such as Loot Lake. Nevertheless, this new item, LTM, and everything else going on with the island are all seemingly promising an action-packed end to season 5.

Regardless, while players are waiting for their chance to get access to this new event and its associated items, they can be finishing up this week's challenges. One of the more difficult challenges is the "Search Between Three Oversized Seats," but with that guide, it should be easy for even a novice player.

Fortnite is available in early access on Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
