Epic Games has introduced a new way for players to spruce up certain Fortnite skins by dipping them in shiny, eye-catching gold. There are several skins that are getting this elegant upgrade, but they aren't just readily available to claim; players will have to work for them. The method is simple, but it will definitely require some time to do so.

Believe it or not, Season 2 of Fortnite has finally come. Players are just coming off a very long first season of Episode 2 that lasted four whole months and was the longest season to date. The game has kicked things off with plenty of new challenges, an opportunity for players to choose between Ghost or Shadow factions, and a way to unlock gold variants of Battle Pass skins.

How to Unlock Gold Skins

There are six gold skins up for grabs, which include Midas, Brutus, TNTina, Skye, Agent Peely, and Mewoscles, a bizarre– somewhat terrifying– new skin of a muscley cat unlocked through Battle Pass. Thankfully, there isn't a complicated set of tasks for players to undertake in order to obtain them. All players need to do is level up their Battle Pass. But this will require some grinding. New skins will unlock once a specific level has been reached, with level 300 unlocking them all.

  • Midas: 100 Levels
  • Brutus: 140 Levels
  • Meowscles: 180 Levels
  • TNTina: 220 Levels
  • Skye: 260 Levels
  • Agent Peely: 300 Levels

As mentioned before, in Season 2 players are able to join one of two factions: Shadow or Ghost. Depending on which faction they choose, they will be able to undertake a different set of challenges. Players who chose the Shadow faction should start finding Shadow safe house locations, which will help unlock better skins and advance them in their faction. Be careful, though, as each safe house is guarded by henchmen, so come prepared.

Probably one of the most desired skins of Season 2 comes straight from Marvel comics. Fans of the "Merc with a Mouth" will be able to unlock a Deadpool skin by completing a series of secret challenges. To begin, players will first need to find Deadpool's hideout. They will then need to undertake their first challenge, which is the only one available at the moment. New challenges will unlock as time goes on, each with a different reward.

Fortnite season 2 chapter 2 is available on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
