While Fortnite regularly releases original skin concepts for characters like The Seven, its crossovers often serve as the most appealing cosmetics of all. Whether it be Star Wars or Marvel characters, there have been plenty of fun team-ups, and other video games have also been a go-to for Epic Games. From League of Legends and Borderlands to big deals with Xbox and PlayStation exclusives like Halo and Uncharted, video game icons from across the industry have fought on Fortnite's island. This includes God of War’s Kratos, though he could use some company from his universe.

Oddly enough, Kratos did not return to the item shop when God of War Ragnarok launched, with players losing hope that he will be making a comeback as the days go on. Though this also makes any new content based on Ragnarok unlikely, as players likely would have seen it by now, it would be a nice surprise if Epic Games teamed up with Sony once again for fresh cosmetics based on the latest God of War. While another skin for Kratos could happen, with his new weapon from Ragnarok included as a harvesting tool or back bling, Epic could pull in more than just the Ghost of Sparta.

God of War Content Other Than Kratos That Would Be Fun To See

Atreus and Brok

Atreus should be at the top of the list for God of War Ragnarok-inspired content, as Kratos’ son truly came into his own during the sequel’s story. A prominent character with a bright future ahead of him, many are excited to see where Atreus’ story will take him next, and that excitement can be put on display by using him within Fortnite. His signature bow could be a harvesting tool, while Ingrid would make for some fashionable back bling.

Assuming he is not used as an alternative back bling option, Mimir could be an excellent emote for players to pair with Atreus or Kratos. When pulled out, he could spout off a random story about the Norse gods, with everyone around able to hear him speak. This could lead to some entertaining interactions before dropping into a match, with players gathering around Mimir’s holder and sitting down to hear one do the head’s interesting tales.

Freya is another great option for a God of War Ragnarok bundle in Fortnite, as she shines at many points during the finale of the Norse Saga. Alongside her default appearance, she could be given her stunning Queen armor that is unlocked after fighting Gna. This could be an alternate style for Freya, with two swords serving as her harvesting tool and an emote allowing her to transform into a bird.

Outside of Freya and Atreus, which seem like the most likely additions, some of the villains could be fun to see if Epic Games wanted an even bigger crossover. While the comic book and MCU takes on Thor are already represented through skins in Fortnite, the cruel, drunken version from the God of War universe could be fun to see. He could wield his version of Mjolnir, which would be a great harvesting tool for players to make use of when chopping trees and other structures.

With God of War Ragnarok’s showstealing version of Odin or even the massive pacifist Tyr being more skin opportunities, Epic Games would be missing out on a plethora of cosmetics if it did not team-up with Sony and Santa Monica again. Though the crossover would be coming a fair bit after the game has already released, its spectacular sales numbers and numerous The Game Awards nominations suggest its popularity will not fade away anytime soon.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
