Fortnite's 14 Days of Summer event is on-going, providing players with a brand new challenge every day. This has tasked players with a variety of tasks such as finding giant beach balls and unicorn floaties, but the latest is a bit of a doozy. It requires players to visit a huge rubber ducky and a giant beach umbrella in a single match, which doesn't sound that complex, but the trick is that the rubber ducky moves along the river.

Because of that fact, creating a map for the rubber ducky isn't so simple. Yet players should know that the ducky IS confined to the river that runs south of Loot Lake and beside Neo Tilted and Shifty Shafts. This limits the search zone for the duck considerably, and luckily, the beach umbrellas all appear in fixed locations. It's worth mentioning that there are 6 scattered across the Fortnite battle island, yet two of them make the challenge much easier to complete.

As seen below, there is a beach umbrella in Lazy Lagoon, southwest of Pleasant Park, west of Lonely Lodge, northwest of Paradise Palms, west of Dusty Divot, and southwest of Salty Springs. Because of their proximity to the rubber duck's river, the Dusty Divot and Salty Springs umbrella makes it easiest to complete this challenge. However, it also turns this area into a hot zone, meaning players will be competing with each other to complete this challenge.

Fortnite players will need to visit the duck and a beach umbrella in a single match without dying, or they will have to try again. Demonstrated below by YouTuber HarryNinetyFour, the most direct method would be to hit the Dusty Divot umbrella, slide down the mountain, and take the air vent near the giant beach ball back to the river to get as close to the rubber duck as possible in the shortest amount of time possible.

Notably, the rubber duck appeared on the island the day prior to this challenge, and players discovered that it can take damage. It appears to have 1 million HP with only pickaxe damage sticking. In other words, it can't be killed via conventional means, which many have taken as a sign that this duck may be related to an end of season event. And since the Fortnite season 9 week 9 challenges are out, this wouldn't be too surprising.

Fortnite is available now in early access for iOS, Android, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
