A brand new batch of Fortnite challenges is now available, and players that are looking to level up on the seasonal Battle Pass will undoubtedly want to complete them all. That said, there is a new quest that some fans may have a bit of trouble finishing, and it is the one that centers around getting a headshot with a bow. Certainly, this challenge is proving to be quite difficult, and this guide will attempt to help Fortnite players get through it.

To begin, it is very important to note that the "get a headshot with a bow" challenge in Fortnite appears to be bugged at the time of writing. Indeed, players are currently reporting that they are not receiving credit toward the quest when they land headshots, and while some fans suggest that using certain bows or participating in Team Rumble resolves the issue, there does not seem to be a consistent workaround. As such, players may want to wait for a fix before they put too much time toward the task.

That said, fans can try to brute force their way through the challenge, landing bow headshots until the task is ultimately marked as complete. While this approach does appear to work, there is no way to know for certain how many headshots it will take before one is applied to the quest. Considering just how difficult it can be to land even one headshot with a bow in Fortnite, this may not be an appealing option to every players.

For those fans that do want to try to complete the challenge now, despite the bug, there are several good targets to focus on. One such target is the Spire Assassin that appears at the Spire in Fortnite, and another is The Good Doctor that can be found roaming around at Steamy Stacks. In both cases, players can get shots on these NPCs while they are more-or-less stationary, which makes lining up a headshot with a bow much easier.

Other options include looking for an AFK player or simply firing into groups of opponents in Team Rumble, hoping for a lucky shot. Whatever approach a fan ultimately chooses to go with, though, they should expect to land several headshots before receiving their XP reward. With that reward obtained, players can move onto some of the other new challenges, including one that revolves around collecting literature samples in Fortnite, and earn even more XP.

Fortnite is currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
