Fortnite is going back to the superhero skin well. This time around, the game is adding yet another member of The Guardians of the Galaxy as players will soon be able to use a Gamora skin in-game.

Superhero skins are certainly nothing new in Fortnite. There are plenty of DC and Marvel skins available, and more are being added all the time. However, the Gamora addition to the game stays in the Marvel trend while also fitting into this season's "abduction" theme, as Epic Games pointed out in its official announcement of the character skin.

While Gamora was announced on Monday, it will be a little bit before she joins the Fortnite Item Shop. She'll be entering that Item Shop and will also be joining the other Guardian of the Galaxy in Star-Lord on August 14 at 8pm ET. Once she is available, players will be able to purchase the skin, as well as a couple of other items that go along with her in Gamora's Cloak Back Bling, the Godslayer Pickaxe, and the Godslayer Glideboard.

While the skin isn't going to be available for everyone until this weekend, there is a way to get Gamora a bit earlier. On Wednesday, Epic Games is kicking off an in-game event it's deeming the Gamora Cup.

For those who have played other in-game tournaments, this particular event will be quite similar. Players will earn points for accomplishing different things inside the game, with the most points being awarded to anyone who gets a Victory Royale in Fortnite. However, there are plenty of other ways to get those points, including one per elimination of opposing players. Users can team up in duos, but won't earn points if they're in teams of three or four. Once the Gamora Cup kicks off, players will have three hours to get as many points as they can.

The top-performing teams in each region will be rewarded with the Gamora outfit and her back bling. However, the pickaxe and glider still won't be unlockable until August 14. There is also something that anyone who manages to get eight points will be able to claim. The "Daughter of Thanos" spray will become unlocked for those who are able to get those points. That total is equal to some who manages to stick around in one game until they are among the last 29 players, or get any combination of getting being eliminated earlier but eliminating other players as well.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
