Fortnite Season 9 is winding down and with it the end of the season also comes the end of the hunt for Fortbytes. This season-long quest had players running across the map finding hidden locations to uncover these special collectibles. Players who have already tracked down the Fortbyte 83 location and the many other Fortbytes are on the search for the next one. Fortbyte 23 is actually one of the easier Fortbytes to unlock as it can be snagged right after landing if players drop correctly. Players looking to snag #23 will need to search between an RV campsite, a gas station, and a monstrous footprint.

Knowledgeable Fortnite players will know that searching between those three locations leads to the mountain to the west of Loot Lake. The danger of getting this Fortbyte is that it's easily accessible from the Battle Bus, so there are bound to be plenty of players dropping there to get some early kills. Players who plan on dropping in from the start of the match should be ready to thrown down, as this may be a hot drop location for the next day or so. Players may want to drop a little ways off from the mountain and work their way there (assuming the storm is in a good spot) to avoid the majority of the conflict.

Unlike when players stumbled upon the Fortbyte 53 location, this Fortbyte does not require any gimmicks like a specific dance or any cooperation. Players will simply find Fortbyte 23 beneath a tree on top of the mountain. This should be an easy Fortbyte for players to snag assuming they can avoid (or overcome) some conflict. Players are actively searching for these Fortbytes because collecting them unlocks an the season exclusive Singularity skin, which can be customized with several different styles.

Fans of the popular battle royale game may not have much longer to complete these Season 9 challenges, as the season is starting to come to a close. Season 9 has been longer than most seasons and recently Fortnite has been losing Twitch viewership, signaling that the game's hype is slowly dying down during the lengthy season. However, with every new season launch in Fortnite comes a new wave of viewers, so perhaps the game will regain some popularity when Season 10 launches.

Fortnite is out now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
