Fortnite developer Epic Games has unveiled the curtain on its Fortnite x Mayhem Borderlands 3 crossover event, which alongside some new loot and a new location, also adds a number of new challenges to complete. These challenges include searching chests and earning eliminations in Pandora, finding Claptrap's eye and returning it, and searching Vault Symbols found in the aforementioned new location.

Specifically, Fortnite players are tasked with finding 3 Vault symbols, yet there are 5 found in the game as part of this event. Each is located in the Pandora area located just south of Paradise Palms in the desert biome. Spotting them should be easy enough for fans of Borderlands 3, as each of them is painted somewhere loud and proud.

The first can be found between two mountains near the dinosaurs. It is painted on the back of a shed near the edge of the zone. The second Fortnite vault symbol is slightly south of the previous one, located at the entrance to the major Borderlands-designed town. Another Vault symbol can be found to the west of this town in the colorful scrap yard on a yellow piece of metal toward the left.

A fourth vault symbol is located on the road just outside of the scrap yard. As players approach the road from the scrapyard, there is a billboard that can be seen easily and decorated with a Borderlands vault symbol, but Fortnite players will have to build their way up to it. The final vault symbol can be found north of these near the body of water. There are three yellow containers stacked upon each other, with the Vault symbol painted on the back. While this event has garnered the attention of many fans, another hot topic has also risen in the community: the turbo building nerf. Many want to see it reversed and have since voiced their opinion online. Whether or not Epic Games pushes forward with the nerf or submits to the desires of its player base remains to be seen.

Fortnite is out now for Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
