As is the case with basically every new week, Fortnite adds a new set of Epic Quests for players to complete in exchange for XP. One of the latest challenges tasks players with collecting both meat and peppers around the island, which is a bit trickier than some players may think.

Epic Games' ever-popular free-to-play battle royale title is now entering its last month of its sixth season. The "Primal" season has seen a variety of overt changes to Fortnite's gameplay, including the advent of a weapon crafting system, vehicle modifying items, the introduction of animals, and other alterations that have been largely polarizing amongst the fanbase.

Where to Find Meat in Fortnite

As mentioned previously, Fortnite Season 6 has seen the introduction of fauna to the island, including frogs, chickens, boars, wolves, and even raptors. The animals are tameable, but anything beyond frogs and chickens will inherently attack players, making this step a bit dangerous depending on what animals are engaged. Those looking for a surefire location to find some of the meat-yielding creatures will want to head to Colossal Crops.

Players should easily be able to find enough chickens and boars roaming around the general area to satisfy the first requirement of the quest. Alternatively, while it's the furthest thing from the safest option, players can also get meat from hunting raptors, another one of Week 7's quests, making it effectively a 2-for-1 deal.

Where to Find Peppers in Fortnite

Finding peppers is where this quest becomes a bit more difficult, as the spicy food can only be found within the small produce boxes. Searching any and all gas stations is a good place to start, in addition to places like Durr Burger and Pizza Pit's kitchens. However, one of the most likely spots players can find peppers at is the Orchard, located just north of Colossal Crops.

Players can usually find several produce boxes located near the outdoor register counters. Once five peppers have been collected, the quest should then be completed. Just like the last step, this also overlaps with another Week 7 quest of consuming foraged items, so players should be sure to eat the peppers after collecting them.

Fortnite has certainly been offering players plenty of content recently. Beyond the regularly rolled out weekly quests, the game also just added a Creative Mayhem LTM. The Fortnite Creative competition has players submitting videos of their best death run times on the designated Creative Mayhem map, alongside picking their favorite selected Fortnite content creator. The creators and their chosen community will go on to represent their region or country in the Creative Mayhem Global Finals for a prize pool of $264,000.

Finding meat and peppers is one of Fortnite's easier quests, and with the help of the guide should be a breeze for most players. However, not every player is interested in doing side quests, and prefer focusing on attaining a Victory Royale. That just became much easier, or harder, depending on how it's looked at, as the Tactical Shotgun and Infantry Rifle have returned to the game.

Fortnite is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
