With Fortnite making appearances in countless trending videos and even a World Cup Final, there's no debate that the game has firmly ingrained itself in popular culture. It's an entertaining title that both gamers and companies are happy to associate themselves with, and today fans can add one more giant entity to the growing list of Fortnite collaborators: McFarlane Toys.

From a business perspective, the move makes a lot of sense for the US-based toy company. Epic Games makes $2 million per day off of Fortnite Mobile alone, with the property as a whole raising Epic's value to a staggering $8 billion. It's clear that fans aren't afraid to shell out money to support the game, so launching a tie-in toy line ahead of the Christmas window feels like a pretty safe bet.

Here's what Todd McFarlane himself had to say about the upcoming collaboration:

The Fortnite brand has taken on global status and continues to grow each day. The game, with its sense of skill and irreverent fun, now has hundreds of character options to choose from, which is a tremendous blueprint for making any successful toy and action figure line.

Gamers should expect the McFarlane Toys Fortnite line to launch this fall. The figurines will be an industry standard 7 inches in height, with the company also producing companion accessories (basketball, anyone?).

It's not known how many of game's numerous skins will be converted to figurines (or how much they'll cost), but the company promises that the figurines will be widely available from mass retail stores. Given that the announced launch window is just a few months away, fans likely won't have to wait very long for more information.

McFarlane Toys is no stranger to the video game industry, regularly working with various intellectual properties to convert pixelated avatars into the physical realm. The company has covered everything from Gears of War and Destiny to Assassin's Creed, with the figurines themselves earning a reputation for the quality of their build.

Fortnite is available now on iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
