A Black Panther tie-in video game may not be in development at Marvel (at least not yet, anyway) but this hasn't stopped some fans from imagining what the Marvel superhero would look like in video game form. Now, one Fortnite player has created an impressive Black Panther skin that has fans calling for the attention of the Fortnite development team.

On Twitter, Austin Pasquale, a 19-year old graphic designer, showcased a custom Black Panther skin for Fortnite. The skin is a pretty awesome recreation of T'Challa's outfit from the movie and includes everything from the gleaming white claws to his cat ears. In a tweet, Pasquale explains that the Adobe Illustrator tool was used to draw the costume out before the Photoshop image editor was used to add all of the lighting and textures to the skin that made it seem three-dimensional and appropriate for Fortnite's almost Pixar-like style.

Even more impressive is that the graphic designer says "I haven't done anything like this before," but Fortnite fans largely agree that this is a valiant first effort. In fact, some Fortnite fans have even taken to the replies of Pasquale's original tweet to make developers Epic Games and People Can Fly aware of the design.

Although fans seem to recognize that there could be licensing issues with using a Marvel skin (it could certainly prove to be very expensive), many would love it if the Black Panther skin actually made it into the game. Pasquale's tweet has received over 1,000 retweets and over 3,000 likes so it's quite possible that Epic and People Can Fly are already aware of the fan creation.

Pasquale's Black Panther skin is not the first example of a Fortnite fan flexing their creative muscles. Earlier this month, one fan created a line-up of Fortnite crossover skins that took inspiration from the world of television and movies. In that case, fans seemed more than delighted with the prospect of roaming the Fortnite Battle Royale map as a character from Breaking Bad or the Terminator.

Again, licensing issues would continue to be an expensive hurdle and it's unclear whether the Fortnite team would be interested in pursuing anything like that. However, it just goes to show that the game's community is incredibly talented and perhaps Epic Games and People Can Fly will recruit these players to work on some entirely original content instead.
