In Fortnite Battle Royale's most recent patch, Update 6.21, Epic Games decided to tweak the gameplay a bit by having 25% of explosive damage penetrate through structures and the environment in the free-to-play multiplayer sandbox survival shooter. As it turns out, this wound up displeasing a lot of the game's fan base, so now the developer has decided to announce its decision to revert the aforementioned changes.

As seen in the pair of tweets below, Epic Games wanted to give Fortnite fans a heads up earlier this morning that it would be releasing a hotfix today in order to reign in the explosive damage so that structures still provide some form of protection against any given blast. Thankfully, it didn't take the developer too long to release the patch, so players should now be able to safely take cover in or behind structures to avoid losing any Shields or HP.

While a majority of Fortnite Battle Royale fans should be happy to learn that explosive damage through structures has now been turned off, it's worth noting that the game still has its flaws, and will still have various gameplay adjustments such as this in the future. For instance, Epic is constantly tinkering with the available weaponry in the game's world, with Update 6.21 having Vaulted such fan-favorites as the Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle and the Guided Missile.

Taking all of this into consideration, it's good to see Epic continuing to listening closely to player feedback in order to provide Fortnite Battle Royale's community with the best gameplay experiences possible. Another popular change came not too long ago, with the studio decreasing the spawn rate of Cube Monsters for Fortnitemares 2018. Of course, as previously mentioned, with the game constantly evolving, fans don't have too much longer to give the Halloween-themed content a go, as the event will be over by about midday on Sunday.

Fortnite is available now for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
