Fortnite has managed to navigate the saturated battle royale genre and remain one of the top games against some considerable competition. While opinions have differed on Fortnite recently, it is still a widely enjoyed and, most importantly, played game. Many gamers play the title on the PlayStation 4 using their PS Plus subscription for online features. For this fortunate section of Fortnite's fan base, there is a free exclusive skin which is available now.

The PlayStation franchise has managed to be the best-selling consoles of all time, so there is likely a large number of consumers who will want to take advantage of this exclusive.  While Fortnite is filled with skins for players to equip as they battle to be the last team standing in an increasingly small battlefield, these exclusives may well appeal to the aesthetic tastes of certain players. Other players may just be happy to receive free content.

The "Celebration Pack" includes a Point Patroller skin that utilizes the blue, silver and black colors which have become synonymous with PlayStation. The outfit consists of shorts, a hoodie, and a backpack that some players could relate to wearing in real life. The reaction to this content has been reflective of some of the issues that Fortnite has been facing in recent months. While some players wanted the pack others felt that the game had passed its peak and commented that its competition was now better than the game. Despite these opinions, it seems that the team behind Fortnite has plenty of plans for the game that may bring players back.

There is still plenty of content in Fortnite and there are also leaks about future updates that will come to the game. It will be interesting to see whether the title brings back features that players have been asking for with a tint of nostalgia, or whether the game will pursue a new direction in the hopes of bringing in an even larger audience. Either way, the player count for the game is still significant and this kind of exclusive will likely excite sections of the fan base.

With this skin, PlayStation players will be able to differentiate themselves from other console users and some may enjoy this experience. It seems that more skins are coming to the game and this may be enough to keep players coming back. While some may feel Fortnite is losing its charm others are enjoying the huge amount of content the game is providing.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and mobile devices.
