Fortnite has now officially moved into Chapter 2, Season 5. Along with several new Season 5 map changes in Fortnite, players also now have a selection of Season 5 challenges to complete for XP. One of these is to collect a briefcase full of evidence at Misty Meadows.
Misty Meadows
In order to complete all the challenges this week, players will have to go around the new map, finding a selection of things in several locations. There is syrup to find in Hunter's Haven, gnomes to find in Coral Castle, a Durr Burger truck to locate, and several more. The one in Misty Meadows involves a briefcase filled with evidence.
Misty Meadows is still to the far south of the map, located south of Hunter's Haven and between Catty Corner and Slurpy Swamp where players had to release Slurp into the atmosphere last season. Players will want to land at the furthest location north in Misty Meadows for this particular challenge; the case will be located in the area of Misty Meadows with the red-roofed buildings.
Possible Case Locations
This Fortnite Season 5 starting challenge isn't as straightforward as some have been. The evidence case that players need to find can actually show up in several different locations, according to several users on Fortnite's subreddit. These include:
- The southwest-most corner of town, on the ground near the shop with freezers.
- On top of a picnic table to the far west of town.
- The far southeast of town, on a bench by the fountain.
- In front of the Fortnite restaurant Cap'n Carp, on one of the tables.
Apparently, these aren't all the locations that this briefcase can spawn, but it should give players a start on where to look. In order to have the best chance while wandering through Misty Meadows' town, keep the sound up. The briefcase full of evidence will make a noise when players are close by. After locating the briefcase, all players have to do in interact with it to get the completion bonus XP for the Challenge. This will help those who got the new Season 5 Fortnite Crew monthly subscription service's battle pass well on its way to leveling up. This will ensure that all the spoils of leveling, including new skins, cosmetics, and other rewards don't get left by the wayside this Season.
