The Week 5 quest challenges for Fortnite have been revealed, offering players new opportunities to earn substantial chunks of XP for completing certain tasks. One of the latest quests requires players to eliminate trespassers on the island.

Epic Games' massively popular battle royale title is now in its second month of Season 7. Themed around an alien invasion, the latest Fortnite season has seen many new additions to the game, including an array of high-tech IO and alien weapons, vehicles, and crafting materials. There's now also rumors that a preferred slot item organization system may be incoming, a feature that many veteran players have been requesting for years.

How to Eliminate Trespassers in Fortnite

For this quest, players are required to eliminate two trespassers. For those who may be thrown off by "trespassers," what Fortnite is referring to is the enemy alien AI that pilot the flying saucers around the island. In order to find these trespassers, all players need to do is to head to a named location where the name is in a dark purple font, which indicates it's being patrolled by the alien invaders.

After landing at the specially marked POI, gather some loot, namely any weapon minus Kymera Ray Guns or shotguns, as they're ineffective at damaging the UFOs. Simply damage the saucer enough to bring it down, and then eliminate the trespassing alien when he jumps out.

There are a few things players can do to make this quest a bit easier, although they both have to do with a bit of luck. As some will know, the new Rail Guns are particularly effective against saucers, ideal for bringing them down quickly in intense situations. Players should opt for this weapon during this quest should they find one.

The other thing that can make this quest less difficult requires Steamy Stacks to be one of the purple locations. As demonstrated by popular Fortnite YouTuber Perfect Score, players can land at the POI, gather a few weapons, then launch up the cooling towers to land directly on a saucer. Turn, aim, and shoot the piloting trespasser at point-blank range.

Fortnite seems to be establishing a dichotomy between the island's denizens with its recent quests. While some quests, like this one, seem to be focused on fighting with and eradicating extraterrestrial threats, others are apparently seeing the "invasion" as a good thing. Quests like placing welcome signs in Pleasant Park and Lazy Lake and placing welcome gifts in the new Holly Hatchery indicate that the aliens' intentions may not be entirely malicious, although it muddies the water as to what both they and the IO's true intentions are. Additionally, Agent Jonesy and The Foundation have yet to be seen, adding another variable into the mix.

Those who manage to defeat two trespassers will be rewarded with 30,000 XP. Players who may have already completed the other quests can always pick up this week's fresh batch of Alien Artifacts, which are particularly spread out this time.

Fortnite is free-to-play for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
