Fortnite's Season 6 Week 10 challenges are now available, and one of them instructs fans to eliminate a player while swimming. While this may not be the most difficult task that has ever appeared in the game, some players may find it a bit tricky to complete none the less. Assisting those players is the precise purpose of this guide, and fans that read on should have no trouble finishing Fortnite's "eliminate a player while swimming" challenge.

To start with a quick point of clarification, the player that is performing the elimination is the one that should be swimming for this new Fortnite challenge. Fans should thus not waste their time targeting opponents that are swimming, unless they will be entering the water as well, as those eliminations will not count toward the task. While this will already be clear to some players, it is certainly possible that the wording of the challenge will leave others slightly confused.

With that established, the easiest way to eliminate a player while swimming is likely to turn to Team Rumble. Indeed, players are in near-constant combat in this Fortnite game mode, making it quite simple to pick off an already-damaged opponent from the water. Fans can make this process even easier by planning to get their eliminations while swimming late in a match, as the storm will have pushed everyone into close proximity with one another.

For those players that prefer to tackle this challenge in Solos, Duos, or Squads, targeting a body of water that is adjacent to a popular landing spot is probably the best approach. To provide a more specific example, Fortnite fans can get eyes on both Lazy Lake and Misty Meadows from the water that is between those two locations, and players that start their matches nearby, quickly grab a weapon, and then hop into the lake should be able to score an elimination fairly consistently.

With respect to what players will receive upon completion of this challenge, the reward is 24,000 XP. This reward will give players that are working on leveling up Fortnite's Season 6 Battle Pass a nice boost, and it will thus be quite desirable to many. Finishing the "complete a player while swimming" challenge is certainly not the only way to earn XP this week, though, as there are a variety of other tasks that center around sand castles, pickaxe eliminations, destroying structures, and more.

Fortnite is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
