Every week in Fortnite, a new batch of Legendary and Epic quests arrive on the island for players to complete to earn extra XP towards the Battle Pass. Many of these quests are self-explanatory; however, some are more difficult than others. One of the quests for Season 7, Week 9, requires Fortnite players to drive an IO vehicle equipped with off-road tires.

By using this short guide, Fortnite players can find out where to find IO vehicles and how to get some off-road tires.

Where to Find IO Base

Before players find an IO vehicle, they first need to get to one of the IO bases around the island. There are seven IO bases on the map, and they can easily be spotted from the Battle Bus by each one's glowing red satellite dish. The IO guards heavily patrol these locations, but it's a great spot to search for rare loot, as IO chests can be found at each base containing IO tech weapons.

The IO vehicles are all black and have an IO insignia on the side of them. There's typically one car out in the middle of the base or inside a garage. However, before players get inside and drive it, they will need to search for off-road tires. This item was added in Season 6 and can be thrown onto a car to transform it into an all-terrain vehicle that can easily get over hills and other objects in the way.

These tires can typically be found by destroying the tire racks in the garages at the IO bases. They can also be found near piles of tires on the Fortnite map. Once players get their hand on a pair, all they need to do is throw it on the IO car and then drive it for a few seconds until the quest is marked as complete.

Once players finally complete the quest, they can either continue with the rest of this week's quests or perhaps search for the latest batch of Alien Artifacts. Five new ones are added every week, and if players collect them, they can earn XP and new styles for the Kymera skin.

There's also a Rift Tour event happening this weekend that will be giving players a musical experience starring pop singer Ariana Grande.

Fortnite is currently free-to-play on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
