If there’s one singular advantage that Fortnite has over battle royale competitors Call of Duty: Warzone, Apex Legends, and others, it’s the constant influx of collaboration skins. Everything from Naruto and Star Wars to Batman and Assassin’s Creed has found its way into Fortnite, and new rumors suggest another anime could be coming soon.

A couple weeks back, rumors of a Dragon Ball Z collab with Fortnite leaked online. Nothing was known at the time outside of its possible existence, but now, new details have emerged online. These have been shared by Twitter user ShiinaBR, who many may recognize as a reliable face in the Fortnite community. These should still be taken with a grain of salt until otherwise confirmed by Epic Games Store, but it does seem promising.

First and foremost, it seems four Dragon Ball Z characters will be added to the game, which is comparable to the Naruto skin releases. Only three of the four skins have been unveiled, and they include Goku, Vegeta, and Beerus. It seems these would be their base forms, and it’s not certain who the fourth character would be. Logically, it would follow if it were Whis, but it’s unknown at this time.

It would seem to be their base forms because Shiina also posted that the Super Saiyan skins would also come with a special emote that turned them into their Super Saiyan forms. While this may not be as exciting as Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan Blue, or Ultra Instinct forms, it stands to reason these could eventually come to the game too. The last discovery comes in the form of a few cosmetics related to Capsule Corp and a glider that has yet to be uncovered.

It's also likely that these characters be true to their anime forms, as many anime-based characters are cel-shaded. One could argue that cel-shaded skins put Fortnite players at a disadvantage, as they stand out against the rest of the graphics located on the battle island, but to what degree is arguable. Not to mention, there are more and more of them in the game. They are easier to spot, but at the same time, it doesn’t guarantee victory.

Of course, the question now is when Dragon Ball Z comes to Fortnite, if indeed it is coming, but that remains to be seen. Leaks for Fortnite sometimes come weeks in advance, but if all of this is any indication, fans will be going Super Saiyan on the battle island before long

Fortnite is available now on all major platforms.
