Fortnite is rolling out its quests for Week 13, offering players large chunks of XP in exchange for completing specific tasks around the island. One of the Week 13 quests requires players to deploy pallets with cat food around the IO base, and this guide lays out the best way to go about completing it.

Epic Games' ever-popular free-to-play battle royale title is in the penultimate week of its Season 7. The alien invasion-themed season has introduced plenty of sci-fi content to the game, including the wide array of high-tech weaponry introduced at the beginning and throughout the season. Week 13 will be host to the current season's latest Wild Week, which will put an emphasis on the aforementioned high-tech arsenal.

How to Deploy Pallets with Cat Food Around the IO Base in Fortnite

For this particular Legendary quest, Fortnite players will need to deploy pallets with cat food around the IO base. For those who may be uncertain, the IO base is located at the Corny Complex POI in the northeastern region of the island. While the quest directive is pretty straightforward, knowing exactly where to go could mean the difference between success and failure. Thankfully, there are three possible locations, and all found towards the center of the location. Players also need to deploy only two cat food pallets in total. The first pallet location can be found north of the red barn, on the dirt road. Another is next to a tree southwest of the red barn, and the last one is near the rock by the undergound IO base entrance.

All players have to do is interact with the glowing blue placeholders, and the pallets will be deployed. However, deploying the pallets with cat food around the IO base is the last stage of Week 13's Legendary quest, meaning players will have to complete all prior challenges up through leaving an IO car at an alien settlement. Corny Complex is also the site of at least one of Fortnite's Week 13 Epic Quests, so players may want to stick around after deploying the cat food. Players must build at least 25 structures at the location, and destroy IO intel within the underground headquarters.

The fresh batch of quests aren't the only thing that Fortnite has added recently. In a surprising yet thoughtful development, a Martin Luther King Jr experience has been added in the game's Creative Mode. The LTM documents Dr. King's acheivements, including his full 17-minute iconic "I Have a Dream" speech. Epic Games quickly disabled most Emotes for the MLK experience, following questions of appropriateness.

Players who manage to complete this quest will be rewarded with a massive chunk of XP, which should come in handy for getting the final Battle Pass skins of Season 7. Although Fortnite has metaphorically taken its foot off the gas in terms of crossover skin frequency, it may soon pick back up again. A reputable leaker has discovered that The Suicide Squad's King Shark and others may soon be arriving on the island, joining squadmate Bloodsport.

Fortnite is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
