A new batch of Epic Quests is now available in Fortnite, and players can earn a lot of XP by tackling all of these tasks. In general, the new challenges are fairly straightforward, though there are a few that may give fans some amount of trouble. For instance, the challenge that instructs Fortnite players to deal damage within 15 seconds of gliding may seem a bit difficult upon first glance, though it actually can be completed quite easily.

Perhaps the simplest way to approach this new challenge is to join a match of Team Rumble and grab a weapon as soon as possible. Then players should proceed to get quickly eliminated, by jumping from a high structure, by being on the receiving end of an opponent's assault, etc., as doing so will trigger a respawn in this Fortnite game mode. Fans will not simply appear on the ground when they respawn, though, and they will instead find themselves gliding once again.

As players make their descent toward Fortnite's map, they should use their height advantage to look for an opponent. Once one has been located, fans should land right next to them and begin unloading with the weapon that they picked up previously. So long as this damage is dealt within 15 seconds of touching down, it should be counted toward the Epic Quest, and players can simply repeat the respawn process detailed above until they complete the challenge.

For those fans that prefer to avoid Team Rumble, another reasonable approach to this task centers around staying on the battle bus until it forces deployment at the end of the ride. Indeed, this will occasionally result in a player landing next to an AFK opponent that can be easily damaged with a harvesting tool in Fortnite. While it is true that this may not be the most honorable tactic, it is an option that fans that want to finish the challenge quickly can consider.

Regardless of how a player chooses to address the "deal damage within 15 seconds of gliding" challenge in Fortnite, the reward upon completion is 20,000 XP. Fans that are looking to level up in Season 5 should thus make sure to carve out some time in their schedules for addressing this task, as well as this week's other challenges, which send players to find a family portrait from a shipwreck, throw a fish back in to the water, destroy inflatable tubeman llamas, and more.

Fortnite is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
