Season 4 of Fortnite has been incredibly popular for Epic Games thanks in large part to a massive crossover event with Marvel. Not only has this team-up resulted in the game crossing over into comic books, but many iconic heroes and villains have also found their way into the massively popular battel royale. While fans no doubt enjoy playing as characters like Wolverine and Iron Man, the season also has a major storyline that is quickly coming to a head.

The planet-eating villain Galactus has been on a crash course with Fortnite's Battle Island since the start of the season. With Thor bringing in as many heroes and villains as possible to address the incoming threat, Epic is likely using Galactus to bring about another game-changing event. Dataminers have been scouring the game's files to discover any potential details including a to be continued message as well as game downtime similar to what happened during the famed Black Hole event.

Dataminers have also seemingly come across the actual in-game skin for Galactus. The new details come from Fortnite Leaker and Dataminer Mix, who posted the image on their Twitter page. The epic level outfit shows an early look at the character stylized in the familiar Fortnite art style. While the character looks fairly convincing, it's currently unknown if this is a skin that will only be for the event or if it'll be on sale in the game's shop as well.

Of course, since this information isn't coming from Epic Games or Marvel, fans should take it with a grain of salt for now. Fans seem to be divided as to whether or not this is an actual skin, though Mix proves that it may be closer to happening than originally thought. Following up their original Tweet, Mix posts a short video of the Galactus skin performing the Go Cat Go emote glitch, twisting and contorting the body into the shape of Mecha Kitty.

Datamining is nothing new to Fortnite as the popular game has had a long history of content being revealed earlier than intended. The newly announced Crew Subscription Service leaked out early as well as many upcoming events like the Star Wars crossover in Season 5. In fact, the most recent rumor comes from Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, who left a comment on a fan's post regarding the strange appearance of a Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade balloon. The float in question paid homage to Rock's classic fanny pack meme, though one user noted that the balloon had an art style similar to Fortnite. Dwayne Johnson replied saying that he was way ahead of the original poster and implied that great minds think alike. Whether or not Johnson was just having some fun at the comment or really does having something planned out is anyone's guess at the moment.

Fortnite is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
