It's ben a pretty big week for Fortnite as the finale of Season 4 culminated in a large scale event pitting players against the massive villain Galactus. While the players ultimately came out on top, the event once again led to massive changes for Season 5 including a revised map and the inclusion of new characters like Baby Yoda and Din Djarin from The Mandalorian. It seems like Star Wars won't be the only collaboration this season as dataminers have seemingly discovered another major addition coming to the game soon.

Just yesterday, dataminers discovered the existence of a Kratos skin which sent PlayStation fans into a frenzy. The latest skin resembles the older Kratos seen from the 2018 release, God of War. While many found the reveal hard to believe, the PlayStation twitter account seemingly verified the leak by sharing an audio transmission from Fortnite that heavily hints at the violent protagonists ultimate addition to PlayStation versions of the popular Battle Royale.

With that reveal, players from other platforms were left scratching their head wondering if they were going to be getting an exclusive character as well. As it turns out, Epic Games may have more Fortnite reveals up its sleeve as a new Master Chief skin has seemingly been unearthed. The skin, based on the classic Xbox character from the Halo series of games, appears to be set to join season 5 which has promised more Hunters would be added throughout the season.

The reveal has made Master Chief start to trend on social media sites like Twitter, though it's worth noting that none of this has been verified. The original dataminer, Mang0e, has revealed that the source for this information originates on 4Chan from an anonymous user who claims to know someone who works at Epic Games and revealed the map changes in Seeason 5 early. While this Master Chief reveal ultimately lines up with potential platform exclusive Fortnite character skins, players should take the news with a grain of salt for now.

While still incredibly popular, Fortnite has evolved into a virtual toybox collecting a huge numbers of popular characters and franchises. Fans have had access to all sorts of characters from popular Marvel and DC characters to John Wick, Star Wars, and a whole lot more. It'll be interesting how potential platform exclusive characters are handled especially with how Fortnite handles crossplay, but on paper it would seem like Xbox fans will be seeing Kratos running around in their game world, while the same can be said for PlayStation fans and Master Chief.

Fortnite is Free-to-Play on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X.
