Fortnite has proven to be one of the most popular games of the last two years, and a lot of that success is due to how aggressively Epic Games can market it. It’s gotten very good at putting the game where it’s visible to the average consumer curious about what all the fuss over this battle royale shooter is about. To that end, with the holiday season just about starting, a new Fortnite bundle is now available to make the game even more visible to busy shoppers.
Today, Epic announced the Fortnite Darkfire Bundle, the latest retail-based option for purchasing the game. This new bundle has seen the company team up once more with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, which helped it last year with distributing the game’s first retail version, the Fortnite Deep Freeze Bundle.
Like that bundle, the Darkfire Bundle is available now for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One, and comes at a price of $29.99. While that sounds like a huge rip-off for a game that can be downloaded for free, it’s actually one of the best deals one can get for Fortnite content. That’s because, like the Deep Freeze Bundle before it, this one doesn’t just come with the game but plenty of in-game extras as well.
In total, there are 13 new items included in the Fortnite Darkfire Bundle, like new dark-themed character skins, pickaxes, and more that would fit in well in the Fortnitemares event happening now, and they are:
Dark Power Chord Outfit
Shadow Ark Outfit
Molten Omen Outfit
Dark Angular Shift Wrap
Molten Angular Shift Wrap
Shadow Angular Shift Wrap
Dark Six String Back Bling
Molten Battle Shroud Back Bling
Shadow Ark Wings Back Bling
Dark Strikers Dual-Wielding Pickaxe
Molten Strikers Dual-Wielding Pickaxe
Shadow Strikers Dual-Wielding Pickaxe
Altogether, Epic says there is $80 worth of content available in the bundle. That means a $30 purchase will get consumers an extra $50’s worth of extra for free. Since one of the popular things to do in Fortnite is unlock new pickaxes, character skins, and other cosmetic items, this is definitely something consumers interested in the game ought to keep in mind.
This new content isn’t exclusive to the Darkfire Bundle, however. Those who already own Fortnite can purchase the new items in the in-game store, while those who’d rather not brave overcrowded retailers this holiday season can download the Darkfire Bundle, with Fortnite included, through the above-mentioned platforms’ digital stores.
Fortnite is free-to-play on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
