This week, Fortnite Battle Royale players were abuzz at the release of the release of the new Raven skin. It was easily one of the best-looking skins that Epic Games had released for the Battle Royale mode, but now it is gone.

In its place, Fortnite Battle Royale has added the Dark Vanguard skin, which further plays into the space theme of Season 3 and is available for 2,000 V-Bucks. In this case, the Dark Vanguard has the familiar design of an astronaut, with some darker and more futuristic flair.

Obviously, the Dark Vanguard skin for Fortnite Battle Royale is not on the level of the Raven skin, but it’s a new legendary skin and that is always going to draw some eyes. It doesn’t hurt that most of the popular Fortnite streamers and content creators wear the newest and latest skins, so viewers/fans are likely to see Dark Vanguard a lot these next few days.

Alongside the release of Dark Vanguard, Fortnite Battle Royale has also added a new glider called Orbital Shuttle for 1,200 V-Bucks. As the name implies, the glider looks like the player is hovering beneath a space shuttle, and they can switch between a darker grey color scheme and a more traditional white color scheme.

Dark Vanguard and Orbital Shuttle will be available in the Fortnite store for the next two days, along with a few familiar items in the lower rarity tiers. Check out the latest store update below:

While Fortnite Battle Royale is free to play, the game has found great financial success thanks to the release of new cosmetics like these skins, gliders, pickaxes, and emotes. According to a new report, just the mobile version of Fortnite, which is only available on iOS at the moment, makes $1.8 million per day. So one can imagine how much money the game makes across all platforms thanks to cosmetic sales.

As long as Epic continues to expand its creativity with skins that fit different themes or just look cool, the studio is sure to make even more on a regular basis. Dark Vanguard may not be the best looking skin, but some players will want to complete their collection of all Fortnite skins.

Fortnite Battle Royale is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
