While Fortnite developer Epic Games announced the upcoming addition of a Daredevil skin yesterday, little was said about its official release date. Leakers, however, seem to have Fortnite fans covered, providing players with the release date of The Man Without Fear.

Fortnite’s upcoming Daredevil skin looks as if it was ripped straight from the page, featuring the character’s iconic comic book appearance. With the DD logo on his chest and horns on his head, the defender of Hell’s Kitchen will likely be a big seller for Marvel fans whenever he is available to the public. While the skin can be unlocked early for winners of the new, Marvel-themed Fortnite tournament, normal players must wait until the bundle is added to the item shop.

According to reputable Fortnite leaker HYPEX, however, players will not be waiting much longer to don their Daredevil costumes. HYPEX, the same leaker that provided information on the Halloween NPCs coming to Fortnite, has revealed that Daredevil will be joining Fortnite’s cast of characters this weekend. Players will be able to dress up as the character starting October 17th, with the hero’s iconic billy clubs equippable in place of a pickaxe.

This information lines up with updates from another leaker that showed Daredevil as one of the four Halloween skin bundles coming to Fortnite in the game’s next update. While Daredevil can certainly be an intimidating character, he is not quite as terrifying as some of the other skins coming to Fortnite within the next update. With additions like Cursed Gnash, players dressed as The Man Without Fear may be getting a little bit scared of the competition.

As for the next Marvel character joining Fortnite’s expansive roster, there are a few possibilities that leakers have discussed. Captain Marvel and Ghost Rider both seem like likely additions, with hints in the game’s code that could point to either character (or both) joining the game. Venom also leaked back in September, with even a power set being designed for the character. With both Venom and Ghost Rider fitting well within the Fortnitemares theme that is coming to Fortnite soon, it would not be too surprising to see one of the darker Marvel characters join Daredevil in the coming weeks.

Regardless, Fortnite players will be donning Daredevil’s cowl very soon. When the character arrives on October 17th, Marvel fans can enter Tony Stark’s hidden lab and every other Marvel location in style.

Fortnite is available now on the Epic Games Store, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. PS5 and Xbox Series X versions are currently in development.
