The January Fortnite Crew Pack is here at last, and it's a great way to start a new year. The Fortnite Crew membership has been around for a while now. This is a monthly subscription that grants cosmetics and V-Bucks every time. Plus, it also assures players that they have the Battle Pass free of cost - this means that if they've already purchased using V-Bucks they'll get a refund of 950 V-Bucks and if they haven't gotten it yet, it'll automatically purchase it without spending any V-Bucks.The cosmetic that the pack gives away is a guaranteed skin, some cosmetics that are part of the skin's set, and the Photonic Legacy Set pickaxe or one of its stages. These cosmetic items are time-limited just like Battle Pass items so once a new month starts and the previous month's Crew Pack becomes inaccessible, it'll never be available again.The January Fortnite Crew Pack was announced and shown earlier today. This is the first pack of 2023, so Epic Games has really put its heart into it and gone all out. The Gildhart skin is included with the pack as well as its set: the Golden Guard back bling and the Gilt Glaive harvesting tool. Gildhart is a character that's known for its fighting abilities as a golden stag of vengeance, according to its description, and that's what its horns symbolize - it's a pretty intimidating Fortnite skin.
Players that still want to get the December Crew Pack have until December 31 at 6:59 PM ET to purchase this month's pack and get the Joni The Red. Joni The Red is a member of the vampire-hunting High Stakes Club along with the Helsie character that's included in Chapter 4 Season 1's Battle Pass.
Getting December's Crew Pack during this time of the month will make it so players can also unlock Gildhart as their membership will still be activated when it becomes available. Alternatively, it can also be purchased later on in the month of January which will grant members access to the February Crew Pack once it becomes available. The Crew Pack system has proved to be a success and Fortnite isn't the only game doing it.
During this time and until January 3, 2023, Fortnite fans can still get a few extra freebies since the Winterfest event will go for a while long. Winterfest presents can be opened at the lodge and they include two free skins and, on top of that, PC players can claim the Guff Gringle skin free of charge in the Item Shop.
Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
