Fortnite and collaborations seem to go hand in hand, with Epic Games adding characters and celebrities across many forms of media and entertainment. Since the popular battle royale game launched in 2017, many top personalities and entertainments have come to the game, including Ninja, Marshmello, Travis Scott, Halo, Street Fighter, as well as both characters from the Marvel and DC universes.

Recently, it was revealed that The Foundation, a member of the mysterious group called The Seven, has been washed up on the docks of Gotham City, fully bringing the Batman universe into the canon and lore of Fortnite, making this a perfect time to take a look at every comic book skin that has come to the game.

Aquaman

Aquaman was the secret skin in Chapter 2 Season 3, following on from Marvel's Deadpool being the Chapter 2 Season 2 secret skin. The skin took on the appearance of his 2018 film appearance which starred Jason Mamoa, making him an instant hit with fans.

Ant-Man

Ant-Man first made an appearance in Fortnite during Chapter 2 Season 5, along with a new landmark that was in the game through the remainder of the season. The landmark was a giant kennel that included giant dog toys. While not a great landmark due to lack of item and chest spawns, it was still a very fun addition to the game.

Batman

Batman has played a large role in the Fortnite story ever since Chapter 1 Season X in 2019. Over the past two years, there have been numerous versions of the Dark Knight released. Earlier in the year, Epic Games and DC collaborated for a Fortnite X Batman comic book series, and Gotham has officially been added to the canon and story of the game, with The Foundation recently washing up in the docks. It will be very interesting to see what future collaborations have in store for the game.

Beast Boy

Beast Boy was added to Fortnite in Chapter 2 Season 6 and saw his own competitive tournament take place where players could win the skin for free. He was the first character to be released as part of the Teen Titans set, which later included Rebirth Raven, it will be interesting to see what other characters come to the game in the future.

Black Manta

Black Manta is the archnemesis of Aquaman, which meant that a lot of fans were happy to see the supervillain come to the game following the addition of Aquaman in Chapter 2 Season 3.

Black Panther

Black Panther came to the game in late-2020 as part of the Marvel Royalty and Warriors pack, which also included Captain Marvel and Taskmaster. Following the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman in 2020, fans of the actor and movie were hoping that Epic Games would honor him in the game, and it was great to see the skin and Black Panther-themed landmark come to Fortnite.

Black Widow

There are currently two different Black Widow skins in Fortnite. The first was released during Chapter 1 Season 8 alongside a Marvel-themed mode that brought classic Marvel weapons to the game. A second skin was released in 2020 during Chapter 2 Season 4 as part of the Marvel Super Series of competitive events.

Blade

Blade is perhaps best known for his 1998 movie, but he also made his way into Fortnite in late 2020 during Chapter 2 Season 5 as part of the Marvel Super Series, which saw a variety of new skins come to the game throughout the season.

Bloodsport

The former member of Team Force X saw his comic debut as an assassin hired to take out Superman will a Kryptonite bullet. Bloodsport made his way to the Fortnite Item Shop in Chapter 2 Season 7 alongside the inclusion of Clark Kent in that season's Battle Pass.

Cable

Cable is a Marvel character that is associated with the X-Men, and he made his way to the game alongside Psylocke and Domino as part of the X-Force series during Chapter 2 Season 2. While not as popular as some Marvel characters, fans of the X-Men series will likely have some knowledge of him.

Captain America

Captain America is one of the most iconic characters in the Marcel universe, with him finally being added to the game in the latter part of Chapter 2 Season 3. Captain America would be one of only two skins, the other being Thor, to be able to use the Mjolnir Harvesting Tool as an easter egg for Avengers: Endgame.

Captain Marvel

Carnage

Carnage is the level 100 skin in the current Chapter 2 Season 8, at the time of writing. Like Venom, Carnage is a skin that players will either love or hate.

Catwoman

Catwoman first came to Fortnite alongside Batman in Chapter 1 Season X when Gotham City took over Tilted Towers. In 2021, a new Zero Point variation came to the game as part of the Fortnite X Batman comic book series collaboration.

Clark Kent/Superman

Clark Kent was the secret skin in the Chapter 2 Season 7 Battle Pass, finally bringing Superman to the game after many years of fans hoping he would be added. Like some of the Marvel skins from the Chapter 2 Season 4 Battle Pass, Clark Kent can transform into Superman using the built-in emote.

Cuddlepool

The secret skin for Chapter 2 Season 2 was Deadpool, and to keep the theme of the season, Epic Games released new Deadpool-themed variations of the classic Cuddle Team Leader and Raven skins. While not technically part of the Marvel universe, these are very fun skins and great variations of the iconic skins.

Daredevil

Daredevil was released in Chapter 2 Season 4 as part of the Daredevil Cup before coming to the Item Shop in October 2020. The skin was modeled from his classic comic book appearance and became a highly requested skin by fans due to the resurgence of popularity thanks to the Daredevil Netflix series.

Deadpool

Deadpool was the secret skin in Chapter 2 Season 2, with the popular Marvel character receiving his own POI in the northeast part of the map called The Yacht. Chapter 2 Season 2 is remembered fondly by fans and Deadpool is a large reason why.

Deathstroke

Deathstroke Zero came to the Fortnite Item Shop as part of the Fortnite X Batman comic book series in Chapter 2 Season 6. Despite a Zero variant being released, a regular version has yet to come to the game, so it will be interesting to see if he shows up again in the future.

Domino

Released alongside Cable and Psylocke as part of the X-Force series, Domino is modeled off her comic book style rather than her movie counterpart. The X-Force series was released alongside the two Deadpool-inspired Team Leader and Raven skins, making Chapter 2 Season 2 a very Marvel-themed season and a precursor of what was coming to the game.

Doctor Doom

Chapter 2 Season 4 was entirely Marvel-themed, with a full Battle Pass of iconic Marvel characters. Doctor Doom took over Pleasant Park, renaming it to Doom's Domain, and he served as the level 67 Battle Pass reward. While Doctor Doom isn't a character that is seen often while in-game due to it being a bulky skin, the design is fantastic and one of the better of the Season 4 Battle Pass.

Eddie Brock

Although Venom had been in the game for a while, Eddie Brock was finally added in Chapter 2 Season 8 which also saw the Venom and Carnage Mythic Symbiote weapons come to the game. Players who already owned the Venom skin were able to get Eddie Brock for a heavily discounted rate, and the two will likely always come to the Item Shop together.

Gamora

The Guardians of the Galaxy member Gamora came to Fortnite in Chapter 2 Season 7 along with her own Gamora Cup competitive tournament. So far, only a small handful of members from the Guardians of the Galaxy have come to the game, so it will be interesting to see if any more join them in the future.

Ghost Rider

Ghost Rider was first released in Chapter 2 Season 4 alongside the Ghost Rider Cup. The motorcycle stunt performer turned Spirit of Vengeance is one of the most imposing characters in the entire Fortnite roster and there is always a lot of excitement when he returns to the Item Shop.

Green Arrow

Green Arrow was added to the game as part of the second Fortnite Crew Pack, the monthly subscription that sees players receive exclusive skins each month as well as other rewards. The inclusion of Green Arrow showed players that the Crew Pack is an important part of the game and shouldn't be overlooked.

Groot

Groot was included as part of the Chapter 2 Season 4 Battle Pass and was a very surprising, but welcomed, inclusion to the game. The skin is one of those that is well-liked but not often seen in matches.

Harley Quinn

Harley Quinn was highly requested by fans and came to the game in Chapter 2 Season 1, instantly becoming one of the most popular characters in the game. The second version of Harley Quinn was released in Chapter 2 Season 6 as part of the Fortnite X Batman collaboration, with players unlocking her for free by redeeming a code from the comic book.

Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk

Jennifer Walters was included in the Chapter 2 Season 4 Battle Pass, with her being able to transform into She-Hulk. The skin became incredibly popular at the time, both as the regular and transformed version, and can still be seen in-game from time to time.

Loki

Loki was added to the game as part of the July 2021 Fortnite Crew Pack. The Crew Pack is a monthly subscription service where players will receive an exclusive skin that won't be available in the Item Shop, 1,000 V-Bucks, and the current Battle Pass for $9.99, an excellent deal for players.

Mystique

Another character from the Chapter 2 Season 4 Battle Pass, Mystique has a very unique built-in emote that allows her to transform into the last skin she eliminated for a short period of time, including NPCs, which has allowed players to even play as unreleased skins.

Poison Ivy

Poison Ivy came to Fortnite alongside The Joker and Midas Rex in the Last Laugh bundle in Chapter 2 Season 4. While The Joker was the focus of the pack, Poison Ivy is an iconic character in the DC universe and it is great to finally see her added to the game.

Psylocke

Psylocke was released alongside Domino and Cable in Chapter 2 Season 2 as part of the X-Force set. After not seeing any new Marvel skins come to the game for four seasons, it was great to see new characters come to the game, and it wouldn't be long before the game saw an entirely Marvel-themed season in Chapter 2 Season 4.

Ravenpool

To celebrate the inclusion of Deadpool as the secret skin in the Chapter 2 Season 2 Battle Pass, Epic Games took two of its most iconic characters, Cuddle Team Leader and Raven, and gave them a Deadpool-themed makeover, with the new style working incredibly well with the characters.

Rebirth Raven

Rebirth Raven is the second character from the Teen Titans series to come to the game, with the first being Beast Boy. She was added to the game in the Chapter 2 Season 6 Battle Pass as the level 77 unlock, with the skin also including an original style, as well as her Rachel Roth variation that can be seen in the Teen Titans: Raven comic book.

Shang-Chi

The Master of Kung Fu came to the game in September 2021 to coincide with the release of the new Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings film. Although the skin was released alongside the new film, the character model for Shang-Chi is based on his comic book appearance.

Silver Surfer

Silver Surfer was released in the Item Shop in the early days of Chapter 2 Season 4. This is a skin that is rarely seen in-game and is one that many players may regret purchasing. The skin came with the Silver Surfboard glider which is used quite often by players as many favor the surfboard style due to it being harder for other players to hit while they're gliding.

Star-Lord

Along with the original Black Widow skin, Star-Lord was one of the first Marvel skins to come to the game in Chapter 1 Season 8 alongside the Avengers Endgame LTM. Star-Lord went over 800 days where he wasn't available in the Item Shop, which helped create a lot of excitement and desire from players for the skin, which meant that many fans were happy when he finally returned in August 2021.

Storm

Storm was included in the game as part of the Marvel-themed Chapter 2 Season 4 Battle Pass. In addition to the skin, Storm also had the Storm's Whirlwind Blast Superpower weapon come to the game too, which would knock players back as well as deal damage to structures.

Taskmaster

Taskmaster was released alongside Black Panther and Captain Marvel in the Marvel Royalty and Warriors pack. While certainly the least popular of the three, it is a very good skin that is often overlooked by players.

Thanos

The character that started it all when it comes to collaborations. All the way back in Chapter 1 Season 4 a Thanos LTM was released, which saw players transform into the Mad Titan. Despite first making an appearance in the game in 2018, Thanos wouldn't become available in the Item Shop until June 2021.

The Flash

The Flash first came to Fortnite in February 2021 alongside The Flash Cup. The iconic DC character's Fortnite appearance is based on Barry Allen from Earth 1 from the TV show The Flash.

The Joker

After Batman came to the game in Chapter 1 Season X, it only seemed fitting that The Joker would come to Fortnite too. However, players had to wait until Chapter 2 Season 4 for Batman's archnemesis to finally come to the game as part of the Last Laugh bundle alongside Poison Ivy and Midas Rex.

Thor

Thor was the level 1 skin in the Chapter 2 Season 4 Battle Pass which was entirely Marvel-themed, including other characters such as Doctor Doom, Groot, Storm, and Iron Man. Thor also comes with his Mjolnir Harvesting Tool, which can only be used by either Thor or Captain America, as an easter egg and nod to The Avengers: Endgame film.

Tony Stark/Iron Man

Tony Stark is easily the most popular skin from the Chapter 2 Season 4 Battle Pass, with Stark being able to transform into Iron Man. The season, and the character, will always be remembered for the incredibly overpowered Mythic Repulsor Gauntlets and Unibeam weapons that Iron Man dropped after defeating his NPC at Stark Industries.

Venom

Like Carnage, Venom is a skin that players will either love or hate. Venom has seen a resurgence in popularity recently due to his own Mythic weapon being added to the game, as well as the inclusion of Eddie Brock, who also comes with his own built-in Venom style.

Wolverine

During the later part of Chapter 2 Season 4, Wolverine was the thorn in the side of many players, as the NPC character was incredibly difficult to defeat in Weeping Woods. Wolverine could be unlocked by completing the Wolverine challenges in the Battle Pass and would play a large role in the Galactus live event at the conclusion of the season.

Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman seemed like a natural fit for Fortnite, and the Chapter 1 Season 4 Battle Pass skin Valor was loosely based on the Princess of Themyscira. She would finally come to the game in Chapter 2 Season 7 much to the delight of fans.
