Ever since Season 4 started, the Fortnite battle royale map has slowly been adding more locations based on Marvel Comics. The latest addition to the Fortnite battle royale map is Collector's Museum, which can be found near the Catty's Corner Point of Interest on a snowy mountain.

Collector, for the uninitiated, is an Elder of the Universe, who is obsessed with collecting rare artifacts as well as living creatures. In the Marvel comics, Collector has even attempted to add the Avengers to his collection on more than one occasion. Those who are more familiar with the Marvel Cinematic Universe may recognize Collector from his appearances in the Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Infinity War movies.

In any case, Collector's Museum is just the latest Marvel-themed location added to the Fortnite battle royale map. As the season continues, fans can expect even more Marvel locations to make their debut, though what they will be exactly remains to be seen. We do know that Galactus is on his way, though it's likely that Galactus showing up in Fortnite will happen at the end of the current season, and possibly even trigger the creation of a brand new battle royale map. However, that's just speculation at this time, and fans will need to wait and see what happens.

The ongoing crossover between Fortnite and Marvel is arguably the most ambitious event in the game's history. It's far more than just adding Marvel characters and locations to Fortnite; the event has actually been made part of Marvel Comics canon. It's been acknowledged in Thor comics, and a recent Wolverine comic book connects directly to the ongoing Fortnite event as well.

For those who haven't been following along, the basic premise is that Thor is currently a herald for Galactus. The two are working together to find suitable worlds for Galactus to consume to maximize his power and fight against an even bigger threat, The Black Winter. Galactus senses the Fortnite world through a rift in space, and turns his attention to there. Thor then travels from the Marvel universe to the Fortnite universe to warn them of Galactus' arrival, but it seems more elements of the Marvel universe bleed through as well.

Some other Marvel-themed locations added to Fortnite so far include Dr. Doom's fortress and even a Black Panther statue, with the latter added shortly after the untimely death of Black Panther movie star Chadwick Boseman.

Unfortunately, Apple users have been missing out on all of this new Marvel content thanks to the ongoing legal between between it and Epic Games regarding Fortnite's microtransactions.

Fortnite is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
