A new Legendary Challenge is now available in Fortnite, and players that want to complete all of its stages will need to collect a total of 5,000 Gold Bars. While this may initially seem like an astronomical amount, it is possible to earn hundreds of Gold Bars every match without much effort. This guide will detail exactly how that is done, and fans that read on should have no trouble finishing Fortnite's Season 6 Week 5 Legendary Challenge before it goes away.

To begin, players that are looking to quickly accumulate Gold Bars in Fortnite should visit Kyle, an NPC located at Stumpy Ridge between Slurpy Swamp and Lazy Lake. Upon finding this NPC, fans should accept his "Harvest Wood" quest and then breakup the nearby logs for a fast 120 Gold Bars. Players should then return to Kyle and complete his "Harvest Build Materials" quest to earn an additional 80 Gold Bars.

At this point, fans should pickup the "Destroy Trees" quest from Kyle, but they should not complete it just yet. Instead, players should visit Sash Sergeant, another Fortnite NPC who is located in the playground in Weeping Woods, as he also offers a quest that centers around destroying trees. With both of these quests accepted, fans are free to start working on them, and they will receive a total of 240 Gold Bars when enough trees have been felled.

Players should now return to Sash Sergeant in order to start his "Forage Mushrooms" quest, and the relevant fungi can be found a little further west into Weeping Woods. Fortnite fans will earn another 120 Gold Bars upon completion of the task, and that will bring their total count to 560. This is undoubtedly quite a nice haul, and players that repeat this process at the beginning of their matches will advance through the stages of the Season 6 Week 5 Legendary Challenge fairly quickly.

To note, it is certainly possible to get even more Gold Bars per match by navigating out of the storm after finishing Kyle and Sash Sergeant's quests and looking for additional NPCs there. Indeed, there are characters scattered all over Fortnite's map, and many of them offer quests that are as quick and easy as those that are detailed above. While fans can absolutely accumulate enough Gold Bars for the challenge without pursuing any of these additional opportunities, players that are looking to expedite the process may want to give them some consideration.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
