Fortnite has found much success with its crossover events. Most of the time, the game crosses over with movie or television franchises, but the latest Fortnite crossover actually features the Borderlands franchise, complete with Borderlands-themed challenges, characters, customization options, and more.

One of the new challenges in Fortnite is for players to find Claptrap's missing eye and then return it to him. As one might expect, Claptrap's eye can be found in the Pandora Rift Zone, which is located in the southeastern portion of the map, south of Paradise Palms. Upon entering the Pandora Rift Zone, the graphics in the game will turn cel-shaded, and players will automatically start generating shields.

In the Pandora Rift Zone, there is a barn-like building with a barbed wire fence around it. Check inside the first floor of this building and in the corner should be a chair and a TV. Claptrap's eye is sitting in front of the TV, so grab it and get out of there. In our own testing trying to collect Claptrap's missing eye, we found that the Pandora Rift Zone was absolutely swarming with players, including many people who seem to be hiding near the eye so they can pick off anyone that tries to collect it.

With Claptrap's missing eye in tow, the next step is returning it to the robot. Claptrap is also located in the Pandora Rift Zone, and if players just follow the main road west, they will come upon him. Claptrap is located on the western edge of the Pandora Rift Zone, right near the billboard that says "Welcome to Pandora." Deliver Claptrap's eye to him and the challenge will be complete.

This past year, Fortnite has ramped up its focus on crossover events, and it doesn't look like it will be stopping anytime soon. While the next crossover to replace Borderlands hasn't been announced, datamining efforts point to Fortnite crossing over with Stephen King's It. This would be to promote It: Chapter Two, which seems a bit odd considering Fortnite has a huge fan base of children and It is an R-rated horror movie. But then again, Fortnite has also had a crossover event with the ultraviolent John Wick franchise, so it's really just par for the course.

Fortnite is out now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
