Fortnite players got a sneak peek at a batch of upcoming cosmetic skins a few weeks ago thanks to a datamine, but Epic Games did not confirmed any release dates for those costumes and weapons in response to the leak. Although the arrival dates for most of the items are still a mystery, the first two are now officially available.

Late last night Epic Games made the release of the Cipher outfit and Cutting Edge Pickaxe official with a tweet promoting the items. Each new item is currently available in Fortnite's in-game store.

Interested players can pick up the Cipher outfit for 1,200 V-bucks and the Cutting Edge Pickaxe for 800 V-bucks. Check out both of the new items right here...

Each of the new items look pretty well-polished and will likely be best-sellers in the store in no time.

Fortnite players definitely have no shortage of special items to unlock or purchase and, from the sound of things, the community can expect more and more items to continue arriving throughout the game's lifecycle.

With celebrities like Ninja and Drake giving the game a ton of attention, it seems likely that the Fortnite craze isn't going to die off any time soon. The game is likely here to stay for a while, which means the most dedicated players are happy to have lots of cosmetic items available to change things up and keep the game feeling fresh, despite the repetitive gameplay loop.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
