It's officially the holiday season and for games like Fortnite, that means that it's about time for in-game holiday events to start. Exactly what Epic Games has planned for winter 2019 isn't clear, though the return of Winterfest and the 14 Days of Fortnite are all but certain. To make up for Epic Games keeping secrets, Fortnite dataminers are working overtime. So far dataminers have discovered a ton of interesting winter content for the battle royale game, but what might be most interesting to players are all of the new skins.

There are a ton of awesome new skins and styles for players to choose from. Some have previously leaked, like the impressive Globe Shaker and its snow globe head or the Autumn Queen with its cape of orange leaves. The new wave of leaked skins one-ups what's come prior, however. Skins include a great reindeer with a holiday sweater named Dolph, a very cute sock monkey skin named Monks, a Frozen Fishsticks, and, last but not least, The Devourer itself.

After full outfits, there's a good amount of holiday-themed cosmetics for players backs, pickaxes, and contrails, too. There's a snow globe ornament back bling, ice wings, or even a  shining star. For pickaxes, there's a North Pole flagpole, gingerbread axes, and even a stick with a snowman's head at the end. Whether Fortnite players prefer cute or cool cosmetics, Epic Games will provide this holiday season -- as long as players can afford the V-Bucks.

All of this holiday content and more can be expected with the release of Fortnite update 11.30, which is expected to release some time on Thursday. It might launch later in the day or it might wait until after The Game Awards 2019, where Epic Games is planning to make an announcement about Fortnite. There's certainly a possibility that the patch might come at a later date, but Thursday definitely seems to be the day for Fortnite players to watch.

Outside of cosmetics, Fortnite players have a lot to look forward to with the winter event. The entire map is rumored to be covered with snow yet again, a new duos LTM, where players' feet are covered in ice, should go live soon, and more. Epic Games always goes all out for big events and holidays and this year's Winterfest maintains that trend. Stay tuned for more information on Epic Games' plans.

Fortnite is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, Xbox One, and mobile devices.
