Throughout the highly addicting and extremely memorable first chapter of Fortnite, tons of amazing skins were added to the game. From skins obtainable in the battle pass to the ones bought on the item shop, there was a ton of anticipation to see what was going to drop next.

Skins became a huge deal in the Fortnite community, to the point that players would attempt to sell their accounts to others who desired a certain skin that was extremely rare. While the game has a ton of different options now compared to the first chapter, here are 10 awesome Chapter 1 skins, ranked.

10 Raven

The Raven was one of the first really cool skins to be added to the game. It was introduced in April of 2018 and reappears quite often in the item shop. It goes for a fairly expensive price of 2,000 V-bucks since it's a legendary skin but is still to date, one of the best looking in the game.

The skin comes bundled with the Iron Cage Back Bling and can be paired up with the Iron Beak pickaxe for a sick combo. More customization options for the skin would be awesome if added in the future.

9 Lynx

Lynx was a really cool skin that would upgrade through completing certain challenges throughout a player's progression in Season 7. It was used a ton by users and still remains a really awesome skin to use to this day.

The level 3 version of the skin unlocked the first of the cyber customizations. The rest of the levels unlocked different colors of the skin with the final one offering a really cool all-black version. The progression for the skin also unlocked an emote as well as a pickaxe with different customization options.

8 Drift

Drift was another skin that had new customization options unlocked through challenges and was introduced in the Season 5 battle pass. The coolest thing about this skin was that the final version made players look like they were ready to become a Hokage powerful enough to challenge Naruto.

It also had a really cool glow that told everyone in the lobby that this player was not to be messed with. Completing all of the Drift challenges also awarded players with the Rift Edge pickaxe, one of the coolest pickaxes in the game.

7 Ghoul Trooper

Ghoul Trooper was added during Halloween of 2017 and has become a highly desired skin along with the Skull Trooper, Skull Ranger, and other seasonal skins. It's one of the best looking of the Halloween skins and has returned a couple of times now to the shop.

It goes pretty well with the Reaper pickaxe that is also usually available during the Halloween season. It used to be a rare skin during the early seasons of the game but it is quite common now. Either way, it's a really cool skin and is definitely worth having in one's collection.

6 Renegade Raider

This is currently one of the most desired skins in the game as it was only obtainable during the first season; consequently, any player that has it feels a sense of exclusivity. Although it may not be the greatest looking skin, it has become a staple in Fortnite given all the rumors of its return.

Renegade Raider is sometimes associated with skilled players, even if that is not necessarily always the case. Overall, it's a pretty cool skin that will most likely return again in the near future.

5 Elite Agent

Elite Agent is still a fan favorite skin and was one of the coolest skins in the Season 3 battle pass. At the time it was introduced, Elite Agent was one of the only options for a military operator look.

In later seasons, the customization option to remove the helmet and mask was added, but the original look has become so iconic that the new option isn't used too often. Hopefully, the Elite Agent gets some different options or possibly even a more detailed version in the future.

4 Skull Ranger

Skull Trooper is a pretty cool skin that was one of the first skins to be added to the game. However, Skull Ranger overall is just a so much better skin. It was brought to the game during Halloween of 2018.

The main problem with Skull Trooper is how bulky it is. The combo with the Skull Sickle pickaxe and a cool looking Back Bling could still strike fear in opponents, let alone a whole squad of Skull Rangers. This is still one of the greatest seasonal skins to be added to Fortnite and it will be interesting to see if Epic Games ever add another version of it in the future.

3 Red Knight

Out of all the Knight skins available in the game, this one stands out the most. Like some of the other early skins in the game, Red Knight used to be a rare sight in matches but is now quite common as it has returned to the item shop several times.

The colors just work very well and give this skin a very intimidating look. The blend of the outfit, a Back Bling, and the Crimson Axe make for quite the combo. It's one of the more expensive skins at the price of 2,000 V-bucks.

2 Merry Marauder

It's pretty hard to pick between the Merry Marauder and the Ginger Gunner but the former is gonna have to win this one. It was introduced during the Christmas season of 2017 and has reappeared every December since then.

It comes with the very interesting and fun Mini Marauder Back Bling but some of the other options in the game also look great with this skin. With either the Cookie Cutter pickaxe or the Merry Mint axe, a great combo can be formed here.

1 The Reaper

Season 3 was an interesting time for Fortnite as it truly started to catch on and became a mainstream title that was raved about for months following its release. The new season brought a bunch of cool new skins but one of the most talked-about, even to this day, was The Reaper skin.

It clearly resembled John Wick and was one of the most terrifying skins to run into in a match. Most of the time players came across someone wearing this skin, they are in for a swift death. It may not be a super rare skin but is certainly one of the most iconic.
