What’s old is new again. With Fortnite Chapter 3 now in full swing, fans are keen to see what changes Epic Games will start bringing to the battle royale’s newest map. As far as new content goes, it’s all but certain that they can expect a big change to the map this week with the return of a classic Fortnite location, Tilted Towers. For those who are new to Fortnite, Tilted Towers is one of the oldest points of interest in the game, having first appeared all the way back in Season 2 of Chapter 1. Consisting of multiple tall buildings packed close together, it offered players a great variety of ways to confront opponents in a small area, usually leading to more chaotic firefights and build battles as a result. Since its introduction in 2018, the POI has been altered, removed, and brought back multiple times, though it’s been missing from the game since Chapter 2 Season 5.RELATED: Fortnite Fans Think Tilted Towers Will Return In Chapter 3Fans have been speculating pretty much since the start of Chapter 3 that Tilted Towers will return to Fortnite in some form, with recent leaks pointing towards the POI being added tomorrow, January 18, the fourth anniversary of its original debut. Now Epic Games has effectively confirmed it with a teasing message on the official Fortnite Twitter account that goes “One more sleep,” accompanied by a cityscape emoji.

That’s all that’s known so far, however. Epic’s tease doesn’t hint at other details like where the new iteration of Tilted Towers will be located. However, the snow covering much of Chapter 3’s map has gradually been melting away over the last few weeks, so it’s safe to bet that the POI will end up emerging from somewhere in the soon-to-be snow-free area. Another lingering question is what form the POI will take. Tilted Towers could very well show up in its original form, but it’s also been reimagined with different themes throughout the years, ranging from futuristic to desert, so it’s possible that the POI will be re-themed again to better match the tone of Chapter 3’s map.

While players wait for their opportunity to drop into Tilted Towers once more, there are other notable changes and additions that have been made to Fortnite in recent times. Alongside tweaks to weapon balance, the game introduced a new item known as the Shield Keg earlier this month, and a hotfix this weekend increased the frequency of Fortnite’s new tornadoes and lightning storms. Looking forward, players will have plenty more to look forward to, and that likely includes the return of other classic locations besides Tilted Towers.

Fortnite is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
