Before getting into specific locations where Chickens can be found, it is worth noting that Fortnite’s “Visualize Sound Effects” feature can be very helpful when tracking down animals. Indeed, activating this feature will cause a small icon to appear onscreen when a Chicken is nearby, allowing players to zero in on their positions very easily. For the uninitiated, Visualize Sound Effects can be found within the Audio section of Settings, and fans are advised to turn it on now.

One good spot for locating Chickens is the area that is encircled by Rocky Reels, Condo Canyon, and Chonker’s Speedway, named locations at the south end of the map. Notably, players can find Fortnite’s Spider-Man’s Web Shooters Mythic on the side of a cliff just south of Rocky Reels, and the mobility granted by this item should speed up their Chicken hunts. Collecting that Mythic is certainly not mandatory, though, and fans that spend a bit of time in the area should find the bird of interest.
Alternatively, players can focus their searches just south of Shifty Shafts or to the west of the gas station that is near the center of Fortnite’s map. Both of those locations have been marked on the map that is above, and while the southern area that was detailed previously may be the better source for Chickens, these are perfectly suitable. Players can also find a number of Wolves in the central location, which may give it some additional appeal.

After locating a Chicken, players should simply pick it up and jump to “fly.” This can be done repeatedly from any flat location until a fan has traveled the requisite 200 meters for the challenge, or they can try to complete the task in one go by jumping from a high elevation. Regardless of how a player chooses to approach the challenge, it should not take too long to finish this Fortnite Winterfest 2021 quest and and earn the associated reward.
