Pro gamer Ali-A has an interesting Fortnite theory that may reveal what the upcoming Season 6 has in store. Ali-A revealed his theory in a recent YouTube video, and if it's correct, it seems quite likely that a major Fortnite event from the game's first season could be making a comeback of some kind.

In the new video, Ali-A points out how Fortnite Chapter 2 seasons have been similar to Chapter 1 seasons. For example, Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 4 had a superhero theme, whereas Chapter 2 Season 4 was all about Marvel superheroes. It's possible this is just coincidence, but it's also possible that Epic Games is doing this on purpose, and if so, one should be able to look at Chapter 1 Season 6 to get an idea of what Chapter 2 Season 6 has in store.

As some may recall, the Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 6 theme was Darkness Rises. During this season, a mysterious purple cube appeared on the Fortnite battle royale map, which the community affectionately nicknamed Kevin. Kevin the cube in Fortnite eventually made its way to the island in the middle of Loot Lake, raising it into the sky and creating a completely unique point of interest for BR players in the process.

Because Fortnite Chapter 2 seasons have been similar to the Chapter 1 seasons, Ali-A predicts that Season 6 will see the long-awaited return of the Cube. Of course, it should be stressed that this is just a theory at this time, and it's possible Epic Games has something completely different in store for battle royale players come next season.

Maybe Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 will lean more heavily into the crossovers that have been a big focal point of the current season. Fortnite has been crossing over with all kinds of franchises in Chapter 2 Season 5, somewhat echoing how the game crossed over with the "real world" in Chapter 1 Season 5. This crossovers have included appearances from The Mandalorian, God of War's Kratos, Halo's Master Chief, and even characters from The Walking Dead.

Rumors have persisted that Epic Games has even more Fortnite crossovers planned for later in the season, with one running theory being that Samus Aran from Metroid is coming to the battle royale game. There is no solid evidence to back this up, though, so fans should keep their expectations in check. If Epic Games does plan on adding more crossover characters and locations to Fortnite this season, its plans should be revealed in the weeks ahead.

Fortnite is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
