Season 5 of Fortnite Chapter 2 has changed up how the game handles its side challenges. Players are now being treated to challenges that are constantly refreshed, giving them new ways to grind out their battle pass while they wait for the usual slate of weekly challenges, which have been rebranded as Epic and Legendary Challenges.

For Week 2 of Season 5, the next batch of Epic Challenges has players tackling more specific objectives. These range from more mundane challenges like destroying mailboxes and dog houses to flashier fare like driving a car through flaming rings. Amid these is one that tasks players with finding three car parts, which can prove trickier than one might expect, especially if they don’t know what to look for exactly.

What Are Car Parts

With the different types of automobiles that have been in Fortnite since Chapter 2’s third season, players might assume the challenge involves getting the car parts by hacking up one of the cars on the map. That’s not the case, though, as the parts in question are actually specific items that players have to locate within a number of locations across the map.

Where To Find Car Parts

Luckily, this challenge won’t require players to run all over to complete it, as they can find three car parts within a short distance of each other in the central eastern section of Fortnite's map. Two of them can even be found in the same location, that being the landmark known as Compact Cars. Both car parts can be found lying on the ground within the small scrapyard’s perimeter, so players shouldn’t have a hard time finding them.

The third one might be a more daunting task, since it’s located in Dirty Docks, a much larger and more elaborate point of interest than Compact Cars. But just like the other two, it’s a simple matter of knowing where to look. In this case, players will want to check out a raised section around the center of Dirty Docks. There, they’ll find two shipping crates next to a tree, with a car part waiting for them inside the one closest to the tree.

Better yet, it’s been reported that car parts can be found in some of the other containers strewn about Dirty Docks, so even if players fail to grab the aforementioned parts before others get to them, they should have a good chance of finding three with a little searching. Something that they should be aware of before they try to collect the parts, though, is that because of the changes that have been made to Fortnite’s challenges have been revamped for Season 5, this challenge might not be available to players until they complete the ones that are currently in their quest tab.
