Another day, another Fortnite leak. Less than a day ago, Week 3 of the current season's weekly challenges was uncovered by fans, which are meant to go live this coming Thursday. Now, a prominent Fortnite dataminer has made a bold claim regarding a Captain America skin that's set to be added to the game.

Captain America-related content was first uncovered yesterday, when a dataminer found strings of text in the game's code that mention Cap's trusty shield, which will apparently be usable as both a backpack and a pickaxe.

While it didn't suggest an actual skin, it seems safe to assume that it would be included alongside the shield, allowing players to dress their characters up as the First Avenger. According to another dataminer, HYPEX, Cap himself will be appearing in the item shop very soon.

They didn't provide any images of the skin in question (in fact, they don't even confirm that a skin will be included), simply tweeting that he will be part of tomorrow's item shop reset, with a custom background.

Fortnite is no stranger to including Marvel characters, but now does seem like a bit of a weird time to bring in Captain America, considering there's no related media tie-in. Maybe it has to do with it being July 4th in a few days?

It's also a tad strange as Fortnite apparently still has Aquaman content along the way. Aside from the character being included as a skin, there have been numerous leaks which suggest that a new Point of Interest related to Aquaman will be included later on in Season 3's run, with the latest one showing a massive, empty canyon that is currently inaccessible but looks like it has room for something to be built in, possibly his home city of Atlantis.

In related news, Fortnite has officially come out of early access, or more specifically, Fortnite: Save the World, the often forgotten PVE experience that the battle royale game span off from, has. While this means that development of new content will slow down, Epic Games does intend to keep supporting it and has opted to no longer make it free-to-play.

Fortnite is available on Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
