Today, Microsoft held a special Inside Xbox event where it formally announced an upcoming Fortnite Xbox One S bundle. Currently, it appears that the bundle will retail for $299 and can be picked up in stores later this week, potentially alongside the launch of season 6. While it is just a basic white Xbox One S, the bundle comes with 2,000 V-Bucks (or the equivalent of $20 in in-game currency) and an Xbox-exclusive Fortnite skin dubbed Eon.

As of right now, this exclusive Eon skin is only available in this Fortnite bundle, but fans of the battle royale game shouldn't rule out additional appearances in the future. It also comes with a pickaxe that looks like Onslaught and a glider that looks like Terminus. While some may be upset that these are essentially reskins of old skins, many are also likely to be happy with an Xbox exclusive skin. Check it out below:

Of course, it would make a lot of sense for Xbox to get this exclusive skin later in the week, as season 6 is set to launch soon and there have been teasers of upcoming skins. These skins have suggested that season 6 will be a party, complete with a cowgirl and a Loot Llama DJ. While this Eon skin differs from the purple overlay of the upcoming season, that'll go a long way in defining the Xbox experience.

As to what will actually happen in season 6, no one but Epic Games truly knows. This is evident by the rumors that surrounded Kevin - the beloved mystery cube whose tour of the island ended with it melting into Loot Lake. Considering rumors the area would become a volcano or that Kevin would drain the lake, it seems safe to assume that nothing is safe to assume. We have to simply wait and see what Epic Games has in store for its battle royale fanbase in the coming days.

Fortnite is available now in early access for iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. An Android beta is currently underway.
