When it comes to nearly all of Fortnite's quests, they revolve around either interacting with objects, performing certain maneuvers, or damaging opponents with certain criteria attached. While quests that involve NPCs are usually just to talk or buy a Mythic weapon, this one requires players to get one to dance with the Boogie Bomb item.

First introduced during the second-ever season of Fortnite, the Boogie Bomb is a throwable item that makes those caught in its disco blast uncontrollably dance for up to five seconds. Most effective at mid-range, the item causes affected opponents to exit vehicles, although the blast will affect any and all parties caught in it. Out of normal circulation since Chapter 2, Season 4, the Boogie Bomb was unvaulted as part of Fortnite's 21.30 update.

How to Find Boogie Bombs

Getting Boogie Bombs in Fortnite is a fairly easy task, especially if players know where to look. One of the most prominent locations the item will spawn at are the dance floors found along the beach east of Sanctuary.

Look for the light-up flooring panels, and a Boogie Bomb should be somewhere in the vicinity. Otherwise, Boogie Bombs are available in Chests, Rare Chests, Supply Drops, and as Floor Loot. The item is unfortunately unattainable by fishing or from defeating Loot Sharks, although using one causes them to freeze for the effect's duration.

Once players have their hands on a Boogie Bomb, the next step is to find one of the NPCs of Chapter 3 Season 3. There are over two dozen characters on the map to choose from, so finding the nearest one at a POI or named location is someone's best bet. Simply find an NPC, and be sure to hit them with the Boogie Bomb. Once the disco dance has completed, so too has this particular quest.

The quest is part of Fortnite's No Sweat Summer quest line, which is the free-to-play battle royale's current seasonal summer event. No Sweat Summer's quests are actually divided into three subcategories: Sponsorship, Marketing, and Product Recall. Making a character dance with a Boogie Bomb is the final Sponsorship quest, so players can then move on to Marketing quests such as ringing a doorbell until it breaks.

While the Boogie Bomb seems to be a popular item, it has lost out not once but twice on getting voted back into regular circulation. The first chance it had was back during Chapter 2 Season 8, where it lost to the Combat Shotgun. It was in contention again last season as part of Fortnite's 20.20 update, with the Rift-To-Go ultimately winning out against it. Fully unvaulted once more, it should be interesting to see how long it sticks around this time.

Fortnite is free-to-play for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
