Fortnite players have been hard at work completing challenges around the map to unlock Aquaman. One challenge allows players to locate his trident as a harvesting tool. Now, armed with Aquaman's trident, players may come face to face with his nemesis, Black Manta.

As a mercenary fitted with Atlantean armor and weapons, Black Manta is a formidable foe. Aquaman has faced many encounters with Black Manta over the years, but this time, their fight will pour into Fortnite. Players who have completed the Aquaman challenges can equip the Atlantean's skin and wield his trident. However, in order to get Black Manta and his sharp Manta Blades, players will have to purchase them from the item shop.

Black Manta is currently available in the shop for 1,500 V-Bucks and his dual blades are available for 800 V-Bucks. Some Fortnite skins are a little strange, but Black Manta's skin perfectly captures his menacing look. His black armor looks extremely sleek and his red eyes and jetpack glow brightly to contrast. Although Black Manta has access to a whole armory of weapons, he will ditch those and replace them with Fortnite weapons, but will keep his signature dual blades as a harvesting tool if players also grab them from the item shop.

With so much of the Fortnite map underwater, it is very fitting that players will be diving and swimming around as Aquaman and Black Manta. Many speculate that an in-game event is coming based on an Atlantis battle between the two rivals. The map is constantly changing and many leaks suggest that as the water levels fall in Fortnite, new locations will be revealed, including the lost city of Atlantis. Fortnite has put on epic in-game events at the end of seasons and will most likely produce an even bigger event this season.

Fortnite has enjoyed massive success with many crossover events. Recently, players have been treated to skins and in-game events based on the NFL, Star Wars, Marvel and more. That means players can be in a match and come face-to-face with a team of football players, stormtroopers, Deadpool, and even some of the Avengers. So many pop culture skins have hit Fortnite that players have many amazing options for who they choose to be each match. While many of these skins must be purchased, some are unlocked from challenges, giving players more opportunities to play as their favorite characters. Players can grab Black Manta in the item or complete challenges to unlock Aquaman, so it is time to choose a side for the showdown for the sea.

Fortnite is available now Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions in development.
