Fortnite is now offering a select group of players access to the Bhangra Boogie emote, but the method of qualifying will seem rather strange to some. In order to get the exclusive emote, players need to own a qualifying OnePlus phone and account, otherwise they are out of luck for the time being.

This is not the first time that Fortnite has partnered with a phone company, as there was another set of exclusives limited to Samsung users a while back. This seems to be different, however, as the Bhangra Boogie emote will likely not be a permanent exclusive.

Those interested in seeing the Bhangra Boogie emote should see the tweet below, and those that actually have a OnePlus phone already can find details on how to redeem the emote for their account as well. For the vast majority of players that don't, however, there is still hope.

The tweet from OnePlus above uses the notable word choice "first on OnePlus devices," indicating that this emote will be a timed exclusive. More likely than not, it will eventually make its way to the store for in-game purchase. Because of this, it is highly discouraged to go out and buy a phone for the emote, and trying to get it from other sources is also probably not worth the time, effort, and money. There is also a set list of OnePlus phones that qualify for the giveaway, so OnePlus users should double check that their phone is one of the following.

The dance emote is only available to owners of the OnePlus 3, 3T, 5, 5T, 6, 6T, 6T McLaren, 7, 7 Pro, 7 Pro 5G, 7T, 7T Pro, 7T Pro 5G McLaren, 8 5G (T-Mobile), 8 5G UW (Verizon), 8, or 8 Pro, meaning any other OnePlus phone won't qualify. For those with qualifying phones, visit OnePlus.com and follow the instructions. Players will need to access their IMEI number and PCBA number on their phone after logging into (or creating) a OnePlus account in order to complete the transaction. OnePlus will then send the player a code via email which can be redeemed on the Fortnite website for the Bhangra Boogie emote.

OnePlus owners not only get this emote early, but they also get it for free, so others will still have to pay for it once the exclusivity ends. This collaboration is all to promote OnePlus' new OnePlus 8, which claims to deliver 90 FPS gaming on a mobile device.

Fortnite is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
