Fortnite is full of different skins, back blings, harvesting tools, and a lot more that players can customize to their liking. With so many choices, almost every player's locker will look different. Back blings are an important factor when considering one's locker because they're second to skins in appearance. Because they're on the player's back, hence the name, everyone including the player will see them, so it's important to be stylish.

Some back blings are even reactive, meaning they have some effect that happens upon an action. For example, some back blings in Fortnite showcase the number of eliminations a player has, while others simply have an animation when the player gets damaged.

10 Iron Man's Backplate

fortnite iron man backplate

Iron Man was a skin way back in Season 2 that was obtainable through the Marvel-themed battle pass. Tony Stark was the tier-100 skin, so players had to work hard to unlock Tony. His backplate was just as significant, as it resembled Iron Man's classic colors, and his technological advances as well.

This back bling showcases how many eliminations a player has, so it's nice to see that spotlighted on a player's skin. The back bling also has a nice feature where the backplate has two red lasers that aim down the sights when the player aims. It doesn't actually help with aiming though, just a neat feature.

9 Datafiber Chargepack

The Datafiber Chargepack is part of Torin's set in Fortnite. This back bling was also part of a battle pass, meaning it was only obtainable during that time. Just like Iron Man's Backplate, the Datafiber Chargepack also showcases the number of eliminations a player has.

One thing that makes it stand out though, is that it also shows how many wildlife eliminations a player has on the other half of the back bling. This also counts Husks. It's a nice touch to the Torin skin.

8 K.O.

This back bling is part of the Street Fighter set and makes for a great attribute to any skin combined with it. It's a simple K.O. showcased on the player's back, but has fascinating effects when dealing damage, and eliminating opponents.

When the player deals damage to an enemy, the K.O. glows yellow. When the player ultimately eliminates an opponent, the K.O. glows red. The K.O. back bling is a definite must-have for any Street Fighter fan or fighting game fan in general. It's a wonderful touch of Street Fighter nostalgia.

7 Necronomicon Ex-Mortis

In Fortnitemares 2022, Fortnite unveiled the Ash Williams skin, along with a few items from Ash vs Evil Dead. The Necronomicon Ex-Mortis is also included in the set and has a cool reactive effect that stands out from other back blings.

The Necronomicon Ex-Mortis is a creepy appearing book, and when the player eliminates an opponent, the book's pages fly open, showcasing pages within the book. It's a feature that any Ash Williams fan would appreciate, and a cool effect to witness upon winning against an enemy.

6 Globee

In regard to that volcano, when the player gets an elimination, the volcano suddenly erupts. This happens every time an elimination is achieved. This back bling looks amazing, and its unique volcano-erupting feature makes it one-of-a-kind when compared to the many other reactive back blings.

5 Meanwhile...

The Spider-Gwen set is obtainable in Season 3: Chapter 4's battle pass, where players can unlock Gwen Stacy at level 100. Along with her skin, players can unlock the Meanwhile back bling, which like anime skins in the game, has its own style and appears as if it's straight out of Into the Spider-Verse.

While dormant, the back bling simply appears as a comic-like text of "Meanwhile..." When players hit a weak point while harvesting materials though, it turns into a loud "Thwack!" Gwen's back bling also changes into other onomatopoeia when damaging or eliminating other players.

4 Altitude

This back bling is unique, as it has a reactive aspect that makes it different from all the other back blings. Altitude is part of Zenith's set and usually fits well with lots of other skins. The Altitude back bling showcases the altitude that a player is currently standing in, making it a fascinating feature while playing Fortnite.

While running around the active island of Fortnite, players using the Altitude back bling can signify their altitude in different locations, making for a small but neat game mechanic.

3 Master Portal

The Master Portal back bling was an obtainable item back in Season 8, where any player could unlock it for free since it was a free item; as long as the player got to tier 22 anyway. The Master Portal is significantly interesting in the fact that it's reactive based on how many chests a player opens in a single match.

The unique back bling starts out closed, but when a player opens three chests, it shows signs of being opened. When the player is able to open 6 chests, the portal door finally opens and reveals a golden, swirling portal.

2 Crewmate

Part of the Among Us crossover that Fortnite unveiled, the Crewmate back bling allows players to wear an Among Us character on their back. The little guy will run with the player, moving his legs while the player runs.

The Crewmate also drops to lie down when the player gets knocked, acting as if it were dead. Aside from the reactivity, the back bling also allows players to choose whatever color they sported in the Among Us game, making for great customization.

1 Harley Quinn's Revenge

Rebirth Harley Quinn was a DC skin that players could buy in the item shop or through a code obtained from purchasing the Fortnite and Batman crossover comic book. With this Harley skin, players also received the Harley Quinn's Revenge back bling, which was a jack-in-the-box detailed with Harley's iconic colors.

This is one of the best back blings in the game because of its incredible feature; it counts down until the next storm zone swoops in. This means players can check the countdown clock on Harley's back bling, rather than looking over at the mini-map. Players can focus on their character, making for a small benefit.

Fortnite is available to play for free on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Android, and PC.
