Just last week, Epic Games officially revealed its decision to bring the popular multiplayer sandbox survival title Fortnite Battle Royale to mobile devices, with iOS users getting first dibs for an early Invite Event, while Android fans will get their chance to join in the action later this year. Now, the video game publisher and developer has announced that emails for the title's iOS version are going out now to those who signed up to take part in what is to be an early trial run.

As explained today by a blog post from Epic Games, while Fortnite Battle Royale is now accessible to select users on iOS, this is just going to be the initial round of invites sent out, so for those who may not have been chosen this time around, the company promises to send out more "in the coming days and weeks." According to Epic, it is expecting those chosen for the iOS Invite Event to take part in providing feedback on the title, as it's currently in an early developmental state on the platform.

Although not everyone who signed up for Fortnite Battle Royale's iOS Invite Event will be selected, there is a possibility of a friend who did get picked being able to send out invites of their own soon enough, as Epic Games has stated it will email fans when they're eligible to send out download codes to others. Until then, those who happen to be looking forward to seeing how the game plays on Apple devices can at least get a better idea of what to expect with the title's iOS gameplay trailer.

While Fortnite Battle Royale rolling out onto iOS is surely exciting for many fans who exclusively game on mobile devices, it's important for gamers to remain vigilant when it comes to the type of content one downloads onto their Apple Products. After all, Epic Games has already warned people to be wary of those attempting to take advantage of folks' enthusiasm with false mobile download links. With that being the case, for those who get an email for the iOS Invite Event, just make sure it's an official one from the developer.

Fortnite is available now in early access for iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with Android support coming later in 2018.
