Not too long ago, Epic Games and People Can Fly announced the decision to incorporate more limited-time modes for Fortnite Battle Royale across all of the free-to-play title’s platforms of PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Now, however, it looks as if the publisher and developer are set to give PS4 fans an exclusive deal by offering free items to those on the Sony console who subscribe to PlayStation Plus.

As seen in the image below, Fortnite Battle Royale fans on PS4 who subscribe to PlayStation Plus can now acquire the two exclusive items of a glider and an outfit at no additional charge by downloading them through the PlayStation Store. Dubbed the PlayStation Plus Celebration Pack, PS Plus members will have plenty of time to nab the freebies, as the offer is set to expire on February 1, 2019.

The arrival of¬†Fortnite¬†Battle Royale’s PlayStation Plus Celebration Pack comes just ahead of the next update for the sandbox survival title, with Epic Games and People Can Fly using the forthcoming patch to temporarily remove the SMG. According to Epic, the SMG will be completely inaccessible to players after the next update is applied, but there are plans to reintroduce it at some point in the future, as it is being stored away in the vault in order to make room for more new items.

All things considered, Fortnite Battle Royale fans on PS4 will likely jump at the chance to get the free PlayStation Plus Celebration Pack’s outfit and glider, but it remains to be seen whether or not fans on PC and Xbox One will eventually receive their own kind of freebie. Nevertheless, at least PC and Xbox One players have access to the title, as Nintendo fans are completely left out in the cold without a Switch port.

Fortnite Battle Royale is available now in early access on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
