Epic Games continues to evolve Fortnite as Chapter 2 Season 8 gets updated with new items, weapon balancing, and more. And now, even Universal Studios is getting the Fortnite treatment. Spotted by theme park goers, the Fortnite Battle Bus is looming outside of the Universal California Cinema.

Epic Games is known for promoting Fortnite with events that extend from the battle royale into the real world, most notably with Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 5 - Worlds Collide. With the Fortnite Battle Bus appearing in Universal California, Epic Games may be preparing for a new campaign or more crossovers. Universal Studios fans may be familiar with the company's film catalog and its emphasis on horror and Fortnite's Battle Bus may be part of this year's "Halloween Horror Nights."

Twitter user Theme Snark spotted the Fortnite Battle Bus at Universal Studios' California theme park, catching it in multiple stages of development. The first photo Theme Snark shared showed a very basic blue school bus, while the second photo resembled what many Fortnite fans know as the Battle Bus. Finally, Theme Snark's third photo showed the Fortnite Battle Bus in "night mode."

The night mode of Fortnite's Battle Bus is clad in pink and blue neon lights, while the V-Buck symbol is fittingly placed in the center of the roof. Both sides of the Battle Bus have neon arrows pointing forwards, but it's missing the balloon that allows it to float across the battle royale island. It's currently unclear if a balloon will be added to the Battle Bus in the future, but if it is, it wouldn't be surprising to see a Fortnitemares-inspired floatation device.

Universal Studios owns the rights to many amazing franchises that Fortnite may be greeted by in the future, such as Fast and Furious, Minions, Chucky, and Halloween. Considering the Fortnite Battle Bus is appearing at Universal Studios during Halloween Horror Nights, it may be teasing more horror movie-themed skins such as Michael Myers, The Mummy, or Van Helsing. It's not too far out of the realm of possibility, as Frankenstein's Monster is a Universal character that was recently added to Epic Games' battle royale as part of this year's Fortnitemares.

Universal theme parks are known for being completely overhauled for Halloween and this year is no different. The inclusion of Fortnite's Battle Bus this year may be an advertisement for Fortnitemares which has already begun and goes until November 1. Although Fortnitemares includes cube monsters and what's known as the Sideways this year, the Battle Bus is currently standing alone at Universal California.

Fortnite is available right now for mobile, Mac, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
