Fortnite's Season 7 Week 4 Epic Quests are now available, and many of them focus around extraterrestrial technology. For instance, one of these new challenges instructs players to experience low gravity, and it is indicated that this can be done by using Alien Nanites or by visiting the Mothership. That is not entirely accurate at the time of writing, though, and this guide will detail exactly how Fortnite players should go about approaching this task.

To start with the inaccuracy in the challenge description, it is not currently possible to experience low gravity with Alien Nanites. This is due to the fact that these items are not appearing in the game at the moment, though they will play an interesting role when they are eventually added. As such, players that are looking to complete this Epic Quest now will need to travel to Fortnite's Alien Mothership, and fortunately that is a fairly easy thing to do.

Quite simply, the first step toward visiting the Alien Mothership is to find an Abductor in Fortnite, which appear as grey and purple octagons on the map. After locating one of these Abductors, fans should stay in its proximity while they wait to be abducted by the craft. This abduction will ultimately trigger a short animation as the player goes through a portal, and they will find themselves in a metal holding cell on the Mothership when it concludes.

After waiting in this holding cell for a short time, players will be transported to a very special area, and the gravity within it is quite low. While Fortnite fans are certainly free to pursue this area's primary objective, which is to collect five gold Vault Orbs before time expires, when they are there, that is not a requirement for completing the challenge. Indeed, the task is just to experience the Mothership's low gravity, and players will finish it and receive their reward after simply spending some time there.

With respect to the specifics of that reward, players will get 30,000 XP for tackling the "experience low gravity with Alien Nanites or on the Mothership" challenge. In fact, that XP amount is the standard reward for all of this week's Epic Quests, and fans that are trying to earn Battle Stars in Fortnite Season 7 and unlock the various Battle Pass rewards should make sure to carve out some time in their schedules for completing all of them.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
