Batman has crash-landed onto Fortnite's battle royale island in the past, but Batman Zero has officially arrived. Fortnite fans may already have the classic Batman skin, but the Batman Zero skin is gritty from head to toe.

Epic Games recently revealed the new Batman Zero skin coming to Fortnite in a cinematic trailer where Batman is crafting his own armor and new ax harvesting tool in what appears to be a hut in Stealthy Stronghold. The trailer also featured the Siren and Wolf skins which are both fan favorites, with the new Batman taking out Wolf who's trying to snipe Siren.

Not to be confused with Fortnite's existing Batman skins, the Dark Knight and Comic Book Batman skins, Batman Zero has a more rugged look to him. Batman Zero has a tougher edge to him compared to the previous skins, with one of his sleeves torn off to unveil Batman's triceps. The Batman Zero skin is purchasable alongside a Batman Zero Wing glider and Grappling Axe harvesting tool, giving fans of Batman multiple ways to celebrate the DC Universe in Fortnite.

Fans of Fortnite have been expecting this Batman crossover since the first Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point comic book released last month alongside a Rebirth Harley Quinn Outfit. These comic books portray the crossover between the Batman and Fortnite universes and explain how Batman wound up in Epic Games' battle royale this time around. Epic Games Chief Creative Officer Donald Mustard has joined DC with this comic book series in an effort to accurately blend the two universes together. Mustard is helping DC with the Zero Point story while contributing to some of the art as well.

Batman fans who also play Fortnite can get their hands on this Batman Zero skin today, but comic book readers might want to hold onto their V-bucks for now. Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point issue #2 will include a code for the Batman Zero Wing Glider available, while readers who collect all issues are expected to unlock Batman Zero. Issue #3's code offers Catwoman's Claw Pickaxe and it releases on May 18. The final issue of the Batman Zero Point comic book releases on July 6, giving Fortnite fans two months to catch up on the two issues that are out now.

Fortnite gamers already have access to the Batman Zero skin, harvesting tool, and glider, but DC fans will get more of a story behind the character's arrival to the battle royale island if they follow the Zero Point comic books. This new Batman skin looks a lot tougher than the others in Fortnite already, but some Batman fans will surely need to get their hands on every variation.

Fortnite is available for free on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
